  1. If someone said there was a new buyer for Bristol City but they have warned you wont see success on the pitch for over twenty years, how would you feel? Personally i would hope for something better, Lansdown has had 20 years to achieve some form of success on the pitch and he has failed (IMO). When people say things like "well there isn't a queue of buyers lined up", no maybe not for "Bristol Sport".... But you can't tell me that a football club with the facilities available, in the 8th largest city in England, one step away from the premier league wouldn't be attractive to someone who wanted to invest in English football?
  2. Not sure if i have this right, i was trying to see how we stack up for our "Top 10 Budget" I looked at transfermarkt.co.uk and came up with the below CHAMPIONSHIP SPEND 23/24 CLUB Spend LEEDS UNITED € 118.90 LEICESTER CITY € 101.50 SOUTHAMPTON FC € 62.50 HULL CITY € 39.53 STOKE CITY € 38.75 COVENTRY CITY € 38.25 BIRMINGHAM CITY € 34.95 SWANSEA CITY € 31.70 MIDDLESBROUGH FC € 29.30 NORWICH CITY € 27.25 SUNDERLAND AFC € 25.05 SWANSEA CITY € 23.90 CARDIFF CITY € 23.60 MILLWALL FC € 20.95 WEST BROMWICH ALBION € 19.45 IPSWICH TOWN € 19.25 BRISTOL CITY € 17.65 BLACKBURN ROVERS € 15.60 PLYMOUTH ARGYLE € 15.15 PRESTON NORTH END € 14.62 SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY € 11.15 ROTHERHAM UNITED € 9.80 HUDDERSFIELD TOWN € 9.30 QUEENS PARK RANGERS € 8.25
  3. So essentially what he is saying is that to their disposal they have the facilities, the squad, and the budget? To me that simply translates to we have "all the gear and no idea". Also, when people talk about what Lansdown has done for the club and the danger of them selling up, why do people automatically assume we will end up like a Portsmouth, Reading or Bolton?.. Could it not of been possible if the Lansdowns sold up a while back we could of ended up Like a Brighton or Brentford? It just seems a lot of people assume Lansdown moving on would instantly be negative for the club, thats not always true, Newcastle are pretty happy since Mike Ashley sold up.
  4. Famous Pillocks? They are sat at Ashton Gate finalising their "road to the Premier League" plan. This is a good post, would be nice to display this for Lansdown at the end of the season when every future statement they have made is proved false.
  5. Please someone post this on Twitter, haha!
  6. The best protest would be not to go. I honestly don't like to think of even 1 more penny going to Lansdown. I understand he doesn't need it, Just feel like I'm giving money to someone to kick me in the balls.
  7. Lansdown has turned this club into a Joke. Plays victim in a situation he has created, goes on about his investment and that it's "his team". He made the decisions to invest where he did! On poor players, poor contracts, and poor managers. The bloke is toxic and needs to go. Wrexham will be in the Prem before City...Years go buy and we see Bournemouth, Brighton, Brentford, Burnley, Luton, Cardiff, Swansea, Blackpool all surpass backwater Bristol City...truth is Bristol is a bigger City than all of those mentioned, and could be a huge football club with the right ownership. Pearson has worked miracles with no investment! What does Lansdown expect! I hope i see Lansdown sell the club in my lifetime, Can't stand the bloke.
  8. I'm worried Pearson will be gone after publicly calling out the "people above", if that happens i will truly feel like it's pointless trying to support this club. I feel like Lansdown is toxic, Bristol City and Lansdown reminds me of a toxic relationship where it's best for both parties to part ways, too much has happened. I can't stand people that play victim in a situation they created He bangs on about his investment, he made all the poor decisions, poor manager appointments, poor player purchases and contracts, he was in control. Best thing for City would be for a committed investor to purchase the club, someone with ambition that loves football, not "Bristol Sport". Only my opinion, aware it's not shared by everyone.
  9. Of course he does, he has worked wonders with huge limitations. City aren't perfect but at least it's exciting and we can win a game.
