  1. wonder what tune Derby will be singing on 31.1.22
  2. Is it true that 32red.com are paying Wayne's wages atm? If so, why would Derby cop for any compensation? Also Derby would need to pay for a new manager. Could they afford that?
  3. before I dip into the Hendricks tonight....yes nearly the same teams are competing for the same prizes in a circle every year. Norwich, Baggies, Watford, Newcastle, Fulham.....and money is the difference. The oddity of Bournemouth and Brentford was good to see. and I'd love City to be one of those "oddity" teams, but it wont be this year and it wont be next year. I began my working life in 1981 (we all know what happened in 1982) and I'd love to see City in the top flight this side of retirement. Newcastle should power through the Championship next season (so thats one place gone already)
  4. thought the Gastards would be creaming themselves more tbh Gas vs Hartlepool Match Day Thread | Bristol Rovers GasChat Forum
  5. Could have sworn it was a Saturday fixture but can't remember who against and he scored at The Park End iirc
  6. she has a minority stake.....from Saints website SOUTHAMPTON FC | Official Website of Saints – latest news, photos and videos
  7. The thought struck me years ago, and the feeling has never left me. How on earth can a group of people hate their cross City rivals more than they love their own team? Must confess I don't avidly follow the Gastards haven't a clue when they are next playing and against who. I've no idea of what they are spending in the January transfer window. I genuinely don't give a rats are about 'em. They are as meaningless to me as any other team outside Tier 2
  8. Odd Down? Lawkees. You probably know some of my relatives
  9. Bath City v Chippenham Town on Sunday. As a Bath born and bred lad, I feel compelled. Its been hyped up as the A4 Derby (why not), but prices are: Grandstand tickets – Adult £15, Senior £12, Student/U18 £9, U16 £5 Terrace* tickets – Adult £14, Senior £11, Student/U18 £8, U16 £3 Family tickets (Terrace) – 2 Adult, 2 U16 – £28 – Save £6
  10. Not shocked. I've even bought random masks like Bayern Munich as I cant get a City one. Its quite ridiculous.
  11. apologies to admin. I didnt know this thread was around. Thank you for merging
  12. Memorial Stadium ranks higher than Ashton Gate in list of Britain's best stadiums - Bristol Live (bristolpost.co.uk)
  13. Two things stood out for me. Gary Collier was a superb defender for City and Lindsay Parsons looked like he'd just been dragged out of the Dog and Duck
  14. its only a matter of time before the game financially implodes
  15. wonder if the Newcastle radar is twitching? Theyve a few bob to spare
  16. and a mere 45 minute drive from Sports Direct HQ to Pride Park
  17. abandoned at Half Time iirc. watched Norman kicking Ray Hankin up the arse and then disappearing back into the fog again
  18. the manager of possibly the most entertaining and winning City team I've seen in my lifetime. An absolute Legend. Without wishing to water down that comment, yes Osman's football was the polar opposite, but David Russe gave him about 20p to spend...and still wanted change
  19. have we ever really done much in the January window? I keep hearing its a notoriously difficult time to do business
  20. Oh this made me smile. I think we should all go to Derby with a "Popodopolous" Flag in an "I'm Spartacus" fashion. That should keep the natives restless
  21. 4 double-barrelled surnames in the starting 11. How times change. Double-barrelled surnames were a rarity when I was a kid
