  1. the manager of possibly the most entertaining and winning City team I've seen in my lifetime. An absolute Legend. Without wishing to water down that comment, yes Osman's football was the polar opposite, but David Russe gave him about 20p to spend...and still wanted change
  2. have we ever really done much in the January window? I keep hearing its a notoriously difficult time to do business
  3. Oh this made me smile. I think we should all go to Derby with a "Popodopolous" Flag in an "I'm Spartacus" fashion. That should keep the natives restless
  4. 4 double-barrelled surnames in the starting 11. How times change. Double-barrelled surnames were a rarity when I was a kid
  5. Not Guilty - excellent. More humour in the mail then
  6. as Paul Cook and Ipswich Town go their separate ways Paul Cook: Ipswich Town sack boss after nine months at League One club - BBC Sport
  7. even the Derby forum claim it's embarrassing - particularly Ebosele
  8. My sister used to have Whizzer and Chips (which I used to nick before she got to it) and I had Shoot! Light fingered Larry 'ere wasn't averse to wandering off with a Look In, Topper, Beezer, Dandy, Beano or whatever other mag came withing touching distance in them days.
  9. oh Wow! I had nothing to do tomorrow morning....I do now. Set orf to BS3. Taints, Cheese, Sween and Tom. What a shame Gerry Gow (my late fathers favourite player) cant be there due to the fact he's in the same place as my Dad).
  10. Shoot! Blimey. League Ladders, George Best column, Bobby Moores column, "you are the ref". It was a great mag in the 70's
  11. not my favourite paper, but... Joey Barton assault trial: Coach 'found boss lying bloodied in tunnel' (msn.com)
  12. In answer to the thread title "This club has no business in the Championship" I disagree. City were promoted here on merit with Cotts at the helm. City were rightfully a Championship Club.....not a particularly good one at present, but nonetheless, by hook or by crook, still a Championship Club, and one that is likely to be so at the start on next season. I read Nige's comments about not wanting luxury players, so we can all make solid guesses at who he would like to ship out. Any imports he makes are likely to be grafters (and that is what he wants). The January transfer window will tell many tales....and Nige's future in BS3 may well depend on it
  13. If I was Bakes I'd be seriously considering all my injuries and the impact on to my long term health. I wish the bloke well.
  14. I remember Owls fans stranded in the ground at HT during a Blizzard at AG years ago
  15. Have good memories of Bramall Lane, having lived and worked there for a while. I had a flat near the Blades Ground and certainly wasn't averse to ambling down the hill on matchday to sit in The Kop End. Enjoyed the City and a decent set of fans to boot.
  16. Fair enough. The benefits of watching the game with concentration all over the place whilst having Covid. My bottle of choice tonight is a bottle of Kombucha
  17. Got bored of hearing how young Tyman is (he's 22 btw). Have they done any homework on the team in Red?
  18. No idea but remember Joe Royle having a carnival of his own on his debut against Middlesbrough when he netted 4
  19. him and Psycho were a terrific partnership
