Good ol' Heslop. If they plugged him into the National Grid, lights would have dimmed from Carlisle to Coventry

Apparently that’s why Jon’s been so quiet, it’s been his project
Apparently it’s a ‘unique design’ with his ‘Vision’
Oh Gawd. I hoped for some class and style

OK this is only partially City related but if all goes well there are some awesome looking grounds on the way - oddly no mention of the Fruitcake Arena

It's a difficult one, he had been back at work in a backround capacity for a few weeks, and maybe he felt that he should be more involved for the final push. I know that when I lost my Dad, I thought that getting back into the work environment quickly was the best thing to do, then all the emotions came to the surface about 6 weeks later, and floored me.
I get that. I lost my Mum pre 1st lockdown. She had cancer and it wasn't unexpected. I was fine, went back to work, attended the funeral and weeks later....I went to phone her. It hit me at that point!!

Never been to the Stadium of light, but got to Rocker Park when Terry Butcher was their manager, the so called "Rocker Roar" was quite impressive, still should have beat them though ..
I enjoyed my one and only visit to The Stadium of Shite and would happily go back. Never went to Joker Park though

Mine would be the throw ins . How many steps they take in throwing the ball back in. Never the correct place.
Stealing yards at throw ins has gone on for a very long time and is mostly ignored. I'd abolish the offside law completely

Unlucky Swindon. From just pre season (with only 6 players) to Play Off SF at season end is an awesome achievement.

What's that - 9% when they set off from Bonnie Scotland, and 11% when they get back?
Probably will be by the time some of em get back. Gordon Brown changed the way inflation was calculated. If inflation was still calculated pre Brown times inflation would currently be 11%. Soz. Spent much of the day on the M5 listening to Radio 4

Yeah, keep hearing that the cost of living, and food, and heating, and fuel, is tipping people over the edge, and they cannae afford tae fry their Mars bars or give their weans Lager. They must have "McKewan's Lager Banks" up there, I suppose. And all thumbed a lift off down to sunny southern Spain.
Cannae think why they want tae leave the union, if they can all afford tae go oot on the piss in Seville right noo when inflation's 9% you have tae wonder if that First Minister of theirs isnae pulling the tweed o'er the voters ayes. Methinks the lady doth protest tae much.
Or its all Celtic fans agitating for independence.
CPI inflation is 9%. RPI is 11%

I wont buy one as 60 year old blokes really shouldn't be in a Football shirt. I don't mind it to look at though....just wish they'd play like Arsenal
