Any decent fan is boycotting that competition in its current bastardised form.

The really decent ones should be forming picket lines to stop people from going in; gates of zero would end that farce now.

It's a great competition that has been ruined.

Oh they do boycott this competition so they say, that’s until they reached the Semi Final last year then it was like no boycott ever existed.

No idea sorry, I’m awful at judging numbers from a photo...

Just seen it was 1300, not awful but only a quarter of what we took whilst in league one...

Ah but did you know the Fewers claim that they would take thousands more than what we currently do if they were in our position.

I don’t doubt that they would have a good away following if they did make it to the Championship (zero chance of that btw) hardly surprising as it’ll be cup finals every week for a little club like theirs and it’s shame it would only be a brief visit as they’d get relegated with the fewest amount of points in history.

On their latest pipe dream of a stadium, whether it would effect them or those so say interested in the land or not I’m not sure but I know for a fact atleast 1 of the companies situated around that area have now lost over half of their warehouse due to it slowly subsiding into the river behind. Whether that effects the regeneration plans I’m unsure.

In Harry Redknapps book he said that when he first Managed Bournemouth, he was just happy if they found someone prepared to go around and pick up the dog poop from their local park, so they could train there.

    There’s a similarity that hasn’t been mentioned. :)

Carrying on from the notorious dog botherer Darryl Clarke.

Let’s take a look at the similarities then..

Small ground (including shit crowds) ✔️

Small Budget ✖️- B’mouth have been spending over their means for years now, R*vers record transfer fee is on par with what De Bruyne earns a week.

Small Squad ✖️- Bournemouth don't really have that small a squad, just a ridiculously long injury list. Rovers have a small squad as they have no choice, they cannot afford the wages.

Enthusiastic Young Manager ✖️ - Eddie Howe by all means, but excuse my ignorance here but I’ve never even heard of this Garner bloke, someone who’s never managed a single game anywhere, yet bar a couple of them the Fewers all think it’s a great appointment.

    Automatic promotion? - ???

Trying to be biased but genuinely think it’s a very good appointment, rated very highly by multiple top managers and was mentored by Mourinho. Also helped bring through Wan-Bissaka. Should be enough for them to make a good go of promotion imo and if they go up they can spend 3 months gloating before pulling a Yeovil

If he is as good as some managers think he is then he wouldn’t be at a shit club like them.

Pretty decent names for them to be linked with tbf. But no doubt it’s all a smoke screen from their Board and the actual manager they appoint will be some unknown from the lower reaches again.

Linked yes, any of them likely to be interested? No chance. The exception being Skeletor who has previously said he wouldn’t go back there under Wally after not receiving a response from them after applying for the job when Cockman was appointed. More BS from that clown, give him the job I say, be a match made in hell for them.

From the Post article on Jones.

’ It is understood that Jones, having managed in the second tier, isn't quite ready to drop down into League One unless he feels it's to a club who can be considered Championship-ready, both on and off the field.‘

    :rofl2br:

He’d be an absolute clown to of gone there, not just for the obvious reasons either. Given that most managers who have been sacked these days continue to have their contracts paid until they find a new position, and given the money he was probably on at Stoke to the pittance those losers would offer he’d mad to take the job.

Will the Gas be making an official complaint to last nights referee?

Clearly he breached an unwritten contract by forgetting to award at least one penalty to them during the 90minutes of standard time.

Although I suppose as it was a cup game goal difference didn't come into it as long as they won.

Bet they're still bloody miffed about it though, and did nobody even get red carded?  Scandalous!

They are gonna let this one pass this week as the Ref didn’t want to make things too obvious after already not awarding Plymouth a perfectly good goal.

The flare was thrown by a Bromley "fan", when they thought they'd scored - presumably a glory hunter who didn't know that they played on a plastic pitch.

I find that hard to believe, everyone knows that the worlds greatest fans outnumber the home support when away from home because it’s what they do’s apparently, proven last night at Plym...... ohhh.    Atleast the home attendances are still amaz..... ohhhh

Why would a player they signed last season be cup tied..?!

I took it as though @Midlands Robin meant has JCH played in this seasons FA Cup for the Fewers so if he did move elsewhere in Jan then would he be eligible to play in the Cup for his new team or not. The answer is yes he’d be cup tied, he helped them to a momentous 1-1 draw at home v Bromley who played the last 20 minutes with 10 men. The minnows though went one better in the replay infront the of millions watching on TV by beating Bromley in their own backyard, where some belter in the away end thought it would be a great idea to throw a flare of some sort onto a plastic pitch ??

    • Thanks 2
  11. Well that statement from their CEO today more or less confirms what I’ve said previously would happen to them, and if his statement hasn’t finally got the alarm bells ringing to the Loyal and True then I don’t think they’ll ever realise before it’s too late.

GC leaves them for the bottom of L2.

Then today the CEO instead of saying this club is in the best position it’s been in for years and there is no chance we will be letting our best players go in Jan we are looking to strengthen our position and go for it, he’s basically inviting bids from clubs for anyone they’d like.

Enjoy what’s coming Sags, I know I will.

No decent manager in his right mind would join that shambles of a club.

    This.

Notice how both DC and now Cockman have both publicly said they’ve taken the Sags as far as they can? In other words Wally will not give them any money to improve. Be stunned in Cotts was even the slightest bit interested.

  13. They haven’t produced anything for a little while then BANG!!!! out of absolutely nowhere they give us another absolute gem, to show everyone what a shit club they really are.

Family reasons? Yeah right, he’s jumping before the shit really hits the fan, no money to bring players in, JCH off in Jan, no one willing to takeover, so leaves Wally with one thing to do.... Admin.

Surely this is Ted’s putting on a fake accent just to try and confirm their delusional bull about Rovers supposedly being obsessed about Ted’s?

Everyone knows that City are obsessed with Rovers and that Rovers don’t care about a club that was only formed in 1982, Dean Windass, remember that goal by Lambert? Basso didn’t even move!

Rovers fans only care about Rovers and are faithful and true. Rovers are as big as West Brom and Sunderland fans love the Gas more than the Ted’s cuz City cheated at Coventry in 1977, typical shitheads, oh but that was pre-1982 so that actually never happened.

This video just conclusively proves what we as City fans have known for years....they are not the victims, they are totally obsessed with City and you can’t even mention City to them unless the sentence finishes..”are losing”.

Long live this thread. They hate it because it is full of the truth about the Sags (and they know it too!)

How are City getting on? ?

Another thing about this video, isn’t it strange that whenever a Fewer pesters an opposition supporter about whether he prefers ‘da gas or da shit’ the answer is always ‘da gas’ and then all stroke each other off on Sagchat about how well loved they are, yet when these 2 Villa fans who actually preferred them before witnessing what wrong uns they are, say Bristol is Red, they call them every name under the sun.

    Truth hurts obliviously.

  15. Aww poor little Saggies are all upset that a couple of neutral supporters who actually said they’d preferred the Fewers over us before entering the dump have now changed their opinions after standing amongst the mongs and witnessing first hand what a weird fanbase they really are.

It was an Ashton gate related protest from what I remember, I saw and heard of quite a few who said they’d never go an watch Bristol again. The fact our attendance have more than quintupled since we left the mem makes me think it didn’t make much difference!

Not only this, a fair few of them changed alliance's and decided they’d support rivals Bath instead
