  1. Be Zen. City were good against Reading? Maybe. City were shit against Sheffield United? Maybe. City are shit? Maybe. It's constantly in flux. It's the only way I can cope.
  2. A running joke supposedly. Tenuously associated with a 'recruitment agency' via an academic institution nowadays.
  3. If he hasn't worked it out by now then I'd be concerned!
  4. Just come 45 minutes earlier and walk up North Street to any number of restaurants that are half the price and twice as good.
  5. If you're reading this forum Stokies - I'm still cracking up that we won with a goal from a long throw, and that Jojo Allen had an absolute job done on him. I'll probably still be giggling when I get in bed tonight. AVE IT
  6. I honest to god once had a centre back pull on my pubes at a corner, I think they can handle a little hair pulling above the shoulders.
  7. Benarous' disciplined really surprised me - for a boy making his first few steps in men's football, he kept demanding the ball after he got battered, kept his shape (for the most part) when he had to track back, closed down his man with real guts and determination - a genuinely good performance. Was meant to go tonight but can't afford the train right now, so gutted I missed out on the inevitable celebrations (have one for me if you're reading/posting on OTIB in the pub). Signs of an NP resurgence? Or is that a bit presemptuous?
  8. Hard running from Martin and Weimann cannot go unnoticed. That quick to the ball, intense City, backed up by noisy fans at AG is a hell of a combination. UTFC
  9. HAVE THAT YOU BIG DIRTY HORRIBLE NORTHERN ******* NIGEY PEARSONS CIDER ARMY DOING THE BUSINESS
  10. Can you please investigate Goodman's harddrive? I've heard he's been taking pictures of Michael O'Neill getting out of the shower with a telephoto lens.
  11. Kinell I don't know how much longer I can listen to Sky fellate Stoke.
  12. Definitely approve of the Aussie/Flightless influence. Still hoping that Gizz will be doing Glastonbury or a major UK festival, announced a European tour with ZERO UK dates but a big tasty gap in the middle of it.

  15. IQ of the average room temperature of a blizzard...
  16. I'm doing work at the moment on the anthropological study of Bristolians/BCFC. Big question - where do you walk to the ground from? Do you get the train? Park up? What route do you take to walk to the ground?
  17. Inbred subhumans. That's reality. **** the lot of em.
  18. Exactly. It's an odd phenomenon, but the experience of 'shared loss' somehow binds us all closer together under the 'signifier' of Bristol City fan. The more we ask what @spudskidoes in the thread title, the more we have to peel back the idea that supporting a football club is somehow natural. It IS a choice, but the sociocultural reality we're surrounded by tacitly forces it upon us. I can't just stop supporting City, and neither can you. The burgenoing area of football anthropology/sociology has some really interesting things to say about why it is we continue to spend such a large proportion of our income on STs, despite the 'product' being crap.
  19. Get well soon Nige. Certain things transcend football, and the health of the human being behind the managerial facade is one of them for sure. Get yourself back to to full strength, we're all behind you. ZE
