West Ham Scouting Report just in... At some point, O'Leary will kick the ball straight to one of our forwards. If we aren't too surprised, we should be able to capitalise. For Vyner - see 1 above Let Tanner pass the ball. We will be 20 yards further up the pitch if he passes. Matty James has an impressive 96% pass success rate. Let James pass the ball! In fact, don't even mark him... there's no threat here... Don't let Williams or Dickie shoot. Someone will have to get the ball back from the Westfield Shopping Centre. If Sam Bell plays, make sure the medical team have savlon as he will fall over and graze his knees. Conway recently appeared in a national newspaper article. Turns out it was for players most in need of a hug... Can we check the guy who does the score board knows how to get the left hand number into double figures? We can play the U12s against this lot but make sure they have had a good night's sleep as nothing in the game will keep them awake This lot are ****ing unless

Ok. What's a Top 6 short back and side then? -
I was sat near to where he did this. Didn't seem to be any reason for it. However, I thought that winding up opposition fans was a yellow card offence. Mind you, I thought that there is a 6 second rule, that standing in front of a free kick taker, and wasting time at any period of the game, were all offences that would be punished...

I didn't go today for the first time in a long time. But I will question your description of Weimann. Did he really close people down, track back, and make challenges? And thus change his entire game which generally relies on pointing at people?

I'm no expert on baby showers but I'm pretty sure there's no tickets required.

Liam Manning first 5 games- hopes and expectations?

Why don't you turn around and shout "BACKWARD"? See if he gets the double meaning. -
"I understand how important it is to reconnect the leadership of Bristol City Football Club with its supporters. That is one of the primary reasons why I moved to Guernsey with my family. Being present matters, but so does taking responsibility, which is why I appointed Jon. He's not responsible but he is my responsibility. My appreciation for how critical the Bristol (sic) identity is to this club has grown since I sacked what's his face, and it will be high in my mind as I make the decision to hire that nice young chap from Oxford."

I thought someone on here said that we are second best for goals conceded?? I might have imagined that though. It's just a shame we have either a sulking 12 year old, or an old baby giraffe, playing up front. Neither of whom look like scoring at the moment. -

With Pearson in charge, I forecast around 14. I'll stick with that but we may make top 10 with Manning. Fingers crossed. -

I thought we were categorically told Manning has the same target that Pearson had? It's al a bit redundant as anyone who thinks we are a top six side needs their head examining. -
Favourite Away ground you visited following City.
Chivs replied to SomeRandomBristolian's topic in Football Chat
For some reason, I have a fondness for grounds that are rooted in the community. The reverse is that I generally detest those out of town monstrosities like Cardiff Tescos, Reading Business Park, and Coventry somewhere random. I like Wigan's old ground whose away end could be charitably described as a grass terrace but more accurately described as a "mud slope". Great stuff. One of my other favourites is Leyton Orient. If I recall correctly, one side of the ground is a set of flats that directly overlook the pitch. I always wondered if those flats were cheaper or more expensive given they were looking at the Orient... -
Not really understanding that? Do you think Pearson's team played good football? 20 mins against Stoke, 1 half against Ipswich etc, but these were the exceptions that showed his players were not really well coached.
-
I didn't think we played very well. A good performance for me includes: restricting the opposition to 1 or 2 half chances making more than 3 passes on a regularly basis, and none of those passes being James tapping it back to Vyner for those passes to be along the ground, no longer than 20 yards, and look as if the player passing, and the player receiving the ball, know each other a midfielder, any midfielder, just one midfielder, to actually get past the forwards and become an attacking threat. Or a bit of pace in the team Or one player to make a back heel "just because" Just the basics of football really. Something sadly lacking under Pearson. Yes. It will be.

Performances can't take a downturn. They were grimly awful under Pearson. Even in victory we were awful. "Bristol City vs Coventry" is now in the dictionary for "daylight robbery". The 4-1 drubbing of Plymouth's second team was not without chances for Plymouth etc. Also, people seemed to forget that for the first two years Pearson's interviews were dour and dull. I think this was partly to do with his Covid but it was not a good listen. For the final 6 months, Pearson seemed to relax and provide good background until he went batshit crazy...

You do realise that there are people on the Internet who can tell what is written under the asterixis? -

I like anything gratin to be fair, and would applaud the club if they started serving gratin dauphinois alongside the thatchers. -
Chris Hogg on Sound of The City 6:15pm today (13/11/23)

Fixed that for you. Clearly a BS agent if you don't say "Nige" -
No one says No when the Chairman of Bristol City comes calling. Although, in fairness, it was his son. And TikTok.

By luck, I'm flying to Germany. I could literally be walking down the airport concourse as our new manager walks the other way. This could be my most ITK chance ever. (PS: could someone post a picture of the person(s) I'm supposed to be looking out for...)

I'm going to the airport later so happy to help. (To be clear though, it is not Bristol airport. Hope that doesn't matter)
