Pack is my main worry for this season. His performance against Swindon last season should have rang all the alarm bells. Against anyone with pace he is toast. His solution is dodgy freekicks on the edge of our box. We desperately need a good, pacy central midfielder.

He's come on and been played up front on numerous occasions. OK, twice as I recall. If a centre back can't score in this team he needs to take a long hard look at himself.

I can't really make a comparison like BristolToddler only having gone to 2 away games. But if that is our worst away performance then it might explain why we are top.... Orient weren't the best attacking side tonight. But, as you say, who are we to disagree with Ian.

Two things stand out for me: a great team attitude. They all seemed really pleased for Flint. Secondly, what a deft header by Smith in the one-two with Bryan. We sure are going to miss him so it was great to see Agard finally starting to look fit, and Wilbraham on the way back.

Nonsense. On the video, you can clearly see Flint shout "Drop goalies". And it was a fine save by Keeper Ayling.

I genuinely didn't know Downing was playing and even now, I'm not sure where he was playing. The only players who stood out for me were Nolan (because of his constant niggly nasty fouls) and Carroll (because he looks like a girl). Valencia and Song started well but seemed to disappear. I applaud your fans though. They took a vow of silence after leaving the M25 environs, and boy, did they honour it. Your team did a professional job though and good luck for Round 5.

Is it just me or are we always the last team playing? Used to be, 16.45 would come round and I'd flick on teletext to get the FT scores. Now I have to wait until 16.57 and teletext is rubbish.

Where would you rather we sit in the division? There are one or two teenagers on here who seem to think we are already promoted but, generally, no one thinks we are "dominant". Our record is currently fantastic. It seems that, despite being late October, that teams have not found us out (and we don't change the team very much....). Preston are a threat to our top place. However, they have won 6 games in a row. Any team doing that deserves to be near or at the top. We can't do anything about that. Perhaps you should stop being a "glass half empty" guy and enjoy the league table which is not lying.

We wil lose 2-1 and be right back in the brown stuff. Hope to be wrong of course.

As an aside, what really bugs me is people saying we're not going up or down. If we lose today we could be 1 point outside relegation! This season is not over.

On reflection you are right. I hope NCFC are apologising to their fans, who will be more impacted by this. My main point stands though. Why ever was this game scheduled for the Saturday? This will explain everything that is happening now. Wouldn't it be great though. Although, knowing City, it would probably be in next year's Christmas broadcast... I suspect from your alias that you walk to the game! Your lack of empathy for people who have planned, and paid out for, a great weekend away in Bristol perhaps reflects a naivety. I expect the Sweden "holiday makers" can afford to miss the game. But that's not the point. The service from City to those fans is abysmal and unacceptable.
