However bad City get, I have always consoled myself with the fact that being blue is much worse, except for a couple of seasons when they were actually better than us. But I can't remember that happening much in over 50 years of supporting City.
But I believe the gas have been the most successful team in the whole EFL over the last few years, as I saw on sagchat. While they find it funny that we just avoided relegation.
But somehow they are still only in L1 and we're in the Championship.

I think the length of this thread is evidence to the contrary?

I can't get my head round why, unless it was for nefarious means, you'd put a clause like that in. If a company is bankrupted, surely every effort to maximise the sale of assets should be made, to pay off creditors.
I believe that the intention (or excuse) was that that clause was included so that in the eventually of either club going bust, the other wouldn't be made homeless.
The fact that the Rugby club went under so soon after does make the whole deal look like a stitch up.

This is good for a laugh ... it was the Big Issue seller that got taken out ... and maybe a goal that never was!

They are deciding whether to sue UWE, Wycombe ... or Sainsbury's for their loss today
I like that - at 1 min it looks like the gas celebrating the Charlton goal?

I like this bit of the statement
"We will now immediately turn our attention to exploring all other opportunities for a new stadium or for a substantive redevelopment of the Memorial Stadium"
Kind of says that despite all the delays, and the club surely knowing for months this was going to happen, there is no plan B in place either.

If someone promised you that you would wake up one day with a bigger nob you'd probably wake up each day to have a look and see if your nob was any bigger than before. Then after a while of waking up with the same old deformed minuscule excuse of a nob you were born with you'd start to get used to the idea that it probably isn't going to get sorted out after all. You wouldn't cut your nob off and it wouldn't stop you using it just because it's not bigger than it is, even if it does look like Frankenstein monster (if Frankenstein's monster was made entirely of dead nobs). It will still be good to give city a good nobbing and it will probably be more of a laugh actually as they have spent masses of money on nob enhancements and nob signings and there we will be nobbing away and belly laughing about how the tables have turned. After all the biggest nob of them all is the one that owns that club. Word to the wise - look after your nob.errrm, I'm not sure lickyrambert knows what's going on, but made I laugh!

so over on sagchat, someone asks where gasincider is, he'll clear this up.
Gasincider has posted:
QuoteI've known Chris Brown for the best part of 50 years, and he is not into bullsh*t. He has stated what was told to him and sadly it matches what I have heard over the last week or so.
For some time now, Hani has had the contract to complete on the stadium, and I'm talking weeks. For whatever reason, he has just not signed it.- 1

Well don't just stop there lad, what, where, who, blood?
Don't know. I was in long Ashton with my friend who lives opposite an ex city player, and happens to now be his financial advisor. He told him that it had "kicked off" at a training session, he asked who was involved and he just struggled his shoulders in a kind of happens all the time response. It probably does 'kick off' regularly at training sessions, especially at the start of a training match.

The charge Sainsbury had has been satisfied, so assume they have paid what was owed.
Only outstanding charge now is to Dwane Sports

Plastic?

As it's gone 3pm on a Saturday and I'm struggling to find any football to watch, I thought I'd remind myself why we are so scared of the gas catching us, so we are so obsessed with them and constantly looking over our shoulders as they inevitably catch us up, as the gas try to convince themselves.
"You should try it pirate I have been on otib the past couple of days and there is more rovers related news than on gaschat at the moment. They're insecurity has led to them looking for the slightest bit of news that might undermine Wael and cast some doubt on uwe going ahead. It's like they are worried about something but they can't be because they all say they are not"
According to Forbes rich list, Mr Lansdown owns just under 20% of Hargreaves Lansdown (which would be around 94m shares).
Steve's shares are currently worth around £1.2bn
Steve dividends in 2016 would have been around £30m
Wally apparently owns 3.95% of AJIB.
Last year, he would have received a dividend of around £750k
Based on the above, the gas must be right that we are worried. It's not that we can see how tinpot they are, and find it hilarious that they are so delusional. No, it couldn't possible that at all.

Also according to my wife ( a paralegal specialising in Company law) they are in breach of the new HMRC law which came into force in April 2016, which insists that any company operating in the UK must declare who the person(s) with significant control are. They are yet to do this. What are they hiding?
I believe that the standard used by most companies at the moment is to use a holding statement simply state that they are establishing who the persons with significant control (PSC) are, which they are allowed to do this year.
To show that the country is being as well run as the sags, the form that companies were meant to fill in when identifying PSCs, which many have been completing, was pulled by the government, weeks later a new version has not yet been provided.
I don't think there is anything in this for them to worry about. The charge on the mem on the other hand...!

They'll just let the planning permission run out and then blame UWE for not reaching an agreement
Then they can sue them, as they have a watertight agreement?

I saw that quote, it just comes across as more bullshit from the gas, they seem to have got to the stage where they can't just say something as it is, and need to lie/distort/embellish their statements 'cos they feel they need to constantly pull the wool over peoples eyes.
