are they poor negotiators? They bought a very good football club so know what they are doing in my book
Comment from gaschat.
Apparently a football club with no training facilities of their own and a ground that the club has themselves said is not fit for purpose, with no funds to improve it or the team, with crowds of around 1/3 of the other team in the same city is a 'very good' football club.
Dream on saggys!

Another bizarre statement.
Something you don't know about, and we can't say anything about, is not happening.
Wow, well done Wally!

He could be another decent option if we lose Bonham. We are a bigger club, playing in front of bigger crowds and he might fancy the challenge. We also might offer to pay a few extra £.
For some reason they still seem to think they are a massive club, which pays such good wages they are a better prospect than a team looking safe mid-table, whilst they are looking at relegation, with no sign of any cash to help save them. I suppose at least some of them are starting to see reality.

28,971 watching.
Sunderland must be so grateful for the huge numbers the gas brought, that'll sort their finances out for the season.

nice to see Plymouth score!

Seems Fowler could be just right for them.
Doesn't really need to be paid, but is desperate to be given a chance as a manager in England, seems to apply for every job going.
Step in the Gas, take a punt on someone no-one else will consider, whose overseas managerial experience was apparently rubbish, but may not need more than the minimum wage.
As for Fowler, unless he puts his hand in his own pocket, he'll have a squad that will continue to struggle, which won't do his future managerial aspirations any good.
However, both side could be so desperate...

I had to pop on to the Bees forum and say thanks, what a decent lot they are.
Careful, I'm sure the gas accused us of being on the Bees forum before, given that Barnet also know and point out how delusional the gas are, how they talk up their support etc etc.
-
the other cup games tonight had injury time goals, including a 96th minute penalty for Gillingham.
Sort of thing I expected from the gas, but what a shame, it wasn't to be. haahaa

Tried to, ref had to give up in the end. Could have played for another hour otherwise

2nd highest percentage of fans with banning orders relative to attendance. The figures are there for all to see but gas logic comes straight out:
They'll definitely use this to try and justify their shite away followings soon no doubt.
I thought banning orders were down to the police to apply for, so nothing to do with how different clubs deal with them.
Besides, we all know Bristol Sport would not hesitate to ban anyone being a little boisterous if they could.

I was just looking at the 'as it stands' table working out where the gas would be if they conceded a second, when the table suddenly updated to show me.
Come on Scunny!

This is obviously a master stroke from our highly regarded up and coming head coach. If we do better against teams above us then the sooner we plummet the better. If we get everyone above us we should be able to beat them all.
I was also thinking that if we ever made it to the Prem, we should be able to beat Man City, Utd, Liverpool etc, but would obviously have to put up with Cardiff beating us.

I wasn't there yesterday, haven't claimed to have been at any point, nor said anything contrary to the comments of yesterdays performance.
You are not relegated on the performance of one game, no matter how bad it was.
A mid table side is going to be inconsistent, and occasionally they will put in a dire performance, occasionally there will be a very good one.
Most games will be somewhere between the two, somewhere on a sliding scale of good to bad (though almost all games we don't win will be viewed as bad).
Sorry if I missed it on another thread, but I heard a week or so ago that our record against teams in the top half of the table was the second best in the league. Against teams in the lower half of the table we were second worst.
We need to figure out how to beat these 'lesser' teams. An natural goal scorer would be a start.

We call him the Tramp, do you know what some of them call him?
http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/13251/barnet-match-thread?page=8
He’s made a silly error today by the looks of it but let’s be honest that man bleeds blue blood and has always given everything for our team. He’s always reminded me of a lower league Edgar davids ,
at least he said 'lower league', but still how you compare the two is beyond me!

Imagine if a group of football fans chose to take legal action to challenge the way police treat fans (particularly away fans). Something that could benefit fans of all clubs, something all fans could get behind and help support.
Unless you are a deluded sag, in which case you mock the efforts being made (I'm not trawling that awful site to try to find it, but that is what they did)

Gaschat moaning that Barnet fans sound like us. Maybe they need to figure out that everyone laughs at them and the huge travelling numbers:

I remember reading sone time ago (probably on here) that referees going up the leagues or being fast tracked are given our home games so that assessors can see how they react to (relatively) large crowds. If that's the case now then I feel it is working against us as they try to show they are not biased - that's the only way I can explain the idiot 'in charge' yesterday. Even the assistants didn't have a hat so how could they see when facing the sun. The fact that we had no officials at the world cup to and says a lot tooLooks like one of them has word for it. He's almost right, but it is not 'ammunition' they keep giving us, it's a 'gift':

We simply need to play better, or more to the point actually score a goal.
If the up and coming refs are sent to teams with big support, we're not getting the fastest track one are we? Yesterdays attendances:
Bradford 15,875
Charlton 12,416
Luton 8,953
Plymouth 8,190
Portsmouth 18,046
Shrewsbury 9,007
GAS 8,506
Please, stop giving ammunition to you-know who.- 1

Should have put some money on it.

If that belongs to Rovers, with any luck there's a pile of s**t heading towards it, either in relation to their finances or as they go down again this season
