  1. Seems some of the gas considered the issue of planning permission at the start of August  - no-one at the club reads their forum then!

As I detailed in my earlier thread and on here the delay is due to consultation with Bristol city planning dept, Tom G informed me some while back that delay in installation is being caused by planning which the club are currently working through it obviously takes time to get agreement with planning, we are working with Bristol city council who very rarely do us any favours.

But we don't need planning permission for temporary stands, we need a Safety Certificate from BCC but that can't be obtained until the stands are in place and can be fully tested for safety/access etc.

BCC have given us pp for every stadium planning application so they rarely let us down in any event.

I didn't think the club needed full planning permission but they obviously require some form of agreement with planning, or they would not be in talks with planning dept, this info came from Tom G not me.
Yes and I suppose we have got permission for planning permission from city council in the past.

Because what you are suggesting doesn't make sense to me as if we're only at the planning stage it could be weeks, even months, before the stands are eventually ordered/built/delivered/constructed/approved for use.

Plus how does this effect the SW Stand as we must already have some form of BCC agreement for that particular stand to be in place.

Although the way things are going with the strikers I doubt we need more seating anyway as we'll struggle to fill what we've got.

If we need planning permission we may be in trouble. Looking on the councils website I can't see any planning applications searching 'Bristol rovers', 'memorial' or the stadiums postcode since 2014.

I'm sure formal PP can't be needed for the new stand. Maybe being in kit form it is considered a temporary structure that doesn't need full PP?

That’s not possible - they ‘take huge numbers away, it’s just what they do’ - you need to demand a recount, the fans of ‘da famous quartez’ take massive away crowds,

And they are such a big draw, home fans all want to come to watch them.

Well we hit the woodwork two or three times so you can’t get much closer. Weimann had a decent chance first half and we got in behind loads in the second half. Sadly we seem afraid to shoot at times.

That is classed as a miss, as Brendan Rogers found out at Liverpool.

yes, it is a miss, and not a shot on target. But to say a shot which hit the woodwork automatically isn't a good or clear chance isn't the same thing.

Hitting the post from a really narrow angle may not be a great chance, hitting it from right in front of the goal, it probably was a good chance.

Saying that, our problem seems to be that too many of our shots and shots on target are long range. You are more likely to score from a 'good chance' 6 yards out than a good chance 20 yards out.

    Flint saw it. He left.

    Reid saw it. He left.

    Bryan saw it. He left.

The 3 of them, with far more ITK insight than any of us have on here realised that their dreams would be better met elsewhere.

And they left. Ok so we don’t know what those dreams might have been but I’m guessing one of them might well be Premier League football.

Yep, it takes lots of ITK insight to know you have better chance of premier league football by joining a premier league team.

As for Flint, Boro are certainly considered more likely than us to go up this year too, and is probably being paid a LOT more too.

Such a "lovely stadium" that most Hoops fans cannot wait for the club to finalise new ground plans.

    Are they hoping to relocate?

This cup tie could be huge for the gas, if they don't leave at the end of the match they could squat in a new stadium. They aren't bothered about home grounds being outside Bristol, do they?

  6. Sounds to me that Henbury **** wants his details removing on here. Despite the fact that those same details were found by our members on their forum, mostly posted by him?

Being on the end of some abuse, the path for retribution was very limited, but with the advent of the new GDPR rules, the "owners" of forums/social Media sites now have to be very careful about what is "posted" on their sites...

Something i'm investigating with the help of a media savvy law firm as we speak

Does this make moderating this forum harder for the moderators? Should they be looking at more posts and should they charge to use the site if that is the case. Your input would be most useful, I take it Before the 25th May anything is non GDPR, it is only anything after this date?

Thats is one i'm still trying to find out !

I know there is a "process" that has to be followed closely if you want to pursue a public forum/media site to get some action taken, which is what i'm doing at the moment.

If you send an informal polite request to have information removed, most will do it, but if not a formal legal approach in the form of a letter from a solicitor will solve the problem, but you have to give them time to respond.

Clearly the club are laying the blame at the contractors door. Anyone saying it's the club's fault is either talking BS or alleging that the club are downright liars and are making this excuse up.

yeah, cos the club couldn't possible be lying/making up excuses. They've never done that before.

They really are special over there!
