  1. You're not shocked, you are delighted. Made your weekend that has.
  2. It's only hilarious if you miss the point. He has to look at the big picture and if the alternative to Vyner isn't ready to be pitched in yet then there is no alternative.
  3. Would have taken a point at 1pm and would definitely take one now.
  4. Exactly that. You can't just go throwing people in the side like it's a game of Football Manager. Pearson knows exactly what kind of player Vyner is and that has to be dealt with at the end of the season.
  5. In pro football someone else making a mistake doesn't excuse you making a mistake to compound the situation. The problem is that Vyner makes mistake after mistake. I've seen him have good games completely ruined by 2 seconds of lapsed concentration. When you do that game after game the only conclusion you can draw is he simply doesn't have the concentration levels to do well in Championship football. Shame but there's only one person who could have changed that.
  6. It was and to those who blame it on coaching or lack of you are wrong. Unfortunately the ONLY way to reverse defending like that is change some of the players.
  7. Miles offside, two yards offside, offside by at least a foot................onside, onside by at least a foot, two yards onside, miles onside etc. etc.
  8. Was there a player you couldn't see playing him on? That's often the case when it seems that obvious.
  9. The only thing I would say is that if Derby survive they have survived within the rules that docked them 21 points and you can't knock them for that. The same rules that "might" (might not assuming we make at least one large sale in the Summer) see us docked 6 points and have to go from there...................if people disagree with Derby's right to stay up then points deductions would need to be 75 points to make 100% sure!!
  10. 100%..........in the circumstances this year, given the ridiculous inconsistency in performances, the awful news re: FFP off the field, fans KNOWING that 14th-18th is our bag I think the backing from the stands has been phenomenal on the whole. I can think of a lot bigger clubs than us (the Basket Case that just sacked Johnson for one) where there would have been uproar, mutiny and fan demonstrations not the equivalent of S82 getting right behind the lads every week.
  11. It's one thing to knock the Manager, the Ownership or the performance but why knock the fans, the history or the support and only do it, in some cases, because the current Manager pisses you off?
  12. Yeah, you missed it because "yer Ipswich's" have that "quality of tradition" whatever the **** that is meant to mean that sees them attract huge numbers such as 14-16K for an "average" home game when they are ooooh let's say............16th in the Championship.
  13. Most of it may be but don't you find it odd that someone has taken probably half an hour minimum out of their day to write a long winded diatribe that doesn't do much else than patronise the club they purport to support? I can guarantee that some of you people, if you had the manager in charge that you want, would be more inclined to stick up for the club a bit but that's obviously not the case so it increases the inclination to stick the boot in to the club whenever possible. Mocking the club's support because people were not prepared to travel three hours and pay £40 is just plain odd in my opinion although you think it's pretty accurate I assume?
  14. How you can be that patronising against your own club astounds me. You would seriously be better off following Ipswich if that diatribe is the way you feel about it. In addition mocking people for not travelling three and a half hours and paying £40 to get in is a bit much too, in fact it’s out of order.
  15. Aah, the old how many did we take to Bradford question pops up again. How many did we take to Preston three days earlier. Of course everyone should have a super well paid job like you and travel everywhere…..
  16. Swiss Toni................ It's Sir Alf I believe............
  17. That makes me laugh, particularly when the games in hand are against each other...............at least Sheffield United aren't one of the teams below us otherwise I really would have been worried.
  18. I'm not knocking the Ipswich support, far from it. Did they take 6,850 to MK last season? You can make that comparison with any club even clubs with the "quality of tradition" of Ipswich!! How many did they bring the last time they came to the Gate? I don't recall it being thousands whereas Newcastle pretty much sell out every time.
  19. It's the fact that one particular poster seems totally distraught that the kid, one of our players, has won an award that gets me................. It's an award, there's loads of them floating about, who cares about it that much? I'm told Don Goodman is in a Police Protection Scheme after the fall out from this.
  20. Which presumably makes Stockport bigger than Norwich, Preston, Liverpool, Spurs and all they other clubs that the Gas is gert bigger than. In fact, they'm even bigger than the Gas.........and that takes a bit of doing mind.
  21. Nailed it tbf. You could only ever imagine in your very wildest dreams a poxy little history-less club like us mustering up enough interest to even take 5K to Milton Keynes in League 1 or 180 miles away for that matter to a club like Sheffield Wednesday in League 1 (can't think why they entered my head). I mean, it would NEVER EVER happen would it? I get giving others credit where it's due and that Ipswich support today certainly deserves that but why the **** would you do us down when facts prove otherwise? Just don't understand it.
  22. No, as holders, Mansfield retain the Colin Daniel Trophy...........
  23. I have no doubt we'll be fine but what's wrong with wanting teams below us to lose? Is that really that much of an issue for anyone? People expecting big things of our lot who can't even string two halves together let alone four wins is the very thing that causes most of the issues on here.
  24. Very good for us. The exceptions being Barnsley who aren't really important at this stage and Birmingham are like us, just when people think the wheels are coming off they go and get a result.
