It doesn’t make any sense to stop people drinking in view of the pitch, it’s a complete false economy, all you are doing is encouraging fans to drink more before the game (because they can’t during the game) and then during half time, if you manage to get a drink, you have to down it in order for you to go back and watch. I don’t really think fans who want to drink will drink anymore because you can keep your drink with you watching the game. The biggest risk is probably that plastic pint glasses will be lobbed in the air and fans will get soaked with beer!

Agreed this is all about steadying the ship, sorting a few things out behind the scenes, shipping out the dead wood, then hitting it hard next season

The atmosphere v Man Utd was pretty good. It’s nothing to do with the new stadium or where fans are sitting, it’s about the dire performances served at home for a number of years which kill the atmosphere. If we are playing great and scoring goals then the atmosphere will be good.

People moaning about the price of beer, but at least that’s been through a fermentation and refining process, where are the moans about the price of a coffee!
