  1. Chap outside the turnstile with his gainfully employed animal was perfectly affable and even let me know it was Jason knight who scored after I got held up in the utter debacle that was collecting tickets probably helped I wasn’t carrying any drugs or had any drug related residue about my clothing though.
  2. Baffling in real time but looked like more of a melee. This picture is not flattering for nahki
  3. Who said we were a top 6 side??
  4. Brilliant point, goes under the radar how much we have missed Antonine, his pace and power and ability to scare teams was so valuable and we have lacked that thrust massively. if he can match some of those attributes then no doubt it will open up the game for Tommy playing as one way more too
  5. Damn pathway is so blocked up we only played 5 academy graduates on Tuesday. Disgrace, dont ever sign anyone ever.. oh but also sort your life out lansdown and get us promoted yeh.. god damn.
  6. I agree it really can take that long and loans, U23 squads can help that but to suggest this guy is taking minutes from yeboah right now is crazy. Yeboah should be nowhere near the team at least at the moment - Pearson exposed him too fast too soon to make kind of point against the ownership rumours abound that this has had an impact on his perceived standing and is close to the exit door based on his attitude
  7. Cam pring wherever you may be running down the wing in the west country he’ll turn you right, he’ll turn you left he’ll Kick your winger in the ******* head
  8. I like OTIB, it’s well laid out, clear and easy to use with a good range of topics up for discussion.. However. it is good to take a step back and a breather because it can very easily convince you that it is the hive mind of how are entire fan base feels and it can make you feel extremely angry and hopeless at the nonsense conspiracy theories and OTT reactions to seemingly everything. But then you go to an actual game and it’s completely normal and you feel lighter. a good point on people taking the club output as gospel unbreakable promises, like they have never engaged in the real world.. WHAT you are telling me Gillette might NOT be the best a man can get????!!!!
  9. Good point, people always seem to forget there’s a team opposite you also trying to win a game and having the subsequent conversations on their own forums. 2-1 tonight and it’s a great win for manning and although blunt up front it would have been our good football getting us to that result, keeper spills a shot and it’s a negative on Manning’s ppg. for me and where we are at the moment it’s about the eye test, and I prefer watching us now under manning, although the same killer pass/finishing problems persist. this conversation continues under this banner because of the ludicrous statements by the board on the capabilities of the squad. Why not just say it’s a different direction? Guessing there could be something in this about inciting the wrath of the unions or whatever for an unfair sacking (does that happen?) either way Any gains then this season would have been a delightful bonus positive, it’s so frustrating and the board gave so much ammo
  10. I’m reading chant lyrics off my phone you see I was surprised that that is what you’re hearing is all I’m saying. Fairly easy to be on your phone when you know there is not a lot of danger of city actually putting one in the net
  11. Dammit why didn’t we sign one of those uninjurable players
  12. “Is this a library” from the city fans at one of the loudest home fans I’ve seen for a while while not singing any songs ourselves
  13. Damn. Twine being in the team felt like a bright spot to look forward to and maybe a chance for goals. Workman like it is then!
  14. Didn’t collect my ticket, where do you go to collect it when they bring it to the away ground - one of the coaches?
  15. Would be only fair to pay more to demolish the Colin Daniel’s stand though..
  16. No room behind the SS unless you start bulldozing and tidying up the ayteo in unlikely to get your much more capacity unless you start bulldozing. i don’t think there is too much in the footprint between the lansdown and the dolman to be honest - so a mirror image stand would look pretty good! my ultimate dream would be to bulldoze behind the ayteo and build round the same size from the lansdown making a “park end” pedestrianise the road and just have a stand that feeds out onto the park, could have all your corporate stuff up the top - large amounts of glass looking back across the park and to the bridge
  17. Agree 100% having the rest of the weekend free is priceless. work done, get the football fix, then everything else. Love it - would happily switch 3pm Saturdays to every Friday night
  18. dont spoil the narrative, you woke snowflake
  19. A good point, I guess you have to keep the conveyor moving successfully which is harder to do relying solely on the academy like us now as this takes longer. Probably why “moneyball” got Brentford where they are and how great succession playing can pay off like Brentford. Good examples of what we could be but owners have obviously been much more competent at doing it than ours!
  20. Well adjusted point. 07/08 was incredible and the wave of excitement at being back in the championship propelled us nearly to the prem, we knew we were not the big boys and that us vs them mentality made us a a strong and difficult team to play against and a united club we have been chasing that high ever since but with it has come a huge surge in the expectations of the fans and with that comes an arrogance and entitlement that I don’t think has gone away, even with a chastening relegation in between our long stay in the championship first 16 years of my city supporting career we spent 15 of them in league one. Being an established championship club for much to the subsequent 15 years has been a good return. In reality there are only a limited number of ways a club kicks on from here and only a limited number of clubs who do it 1. Perennial up and downers - pots of cash from parachute payments and top league experience 2. Long term projects getting it right over a sustained period of time to finally make it over the line 3. surprise packages fromnowhere making it up for a season maybe two 4. financially doped to achieve number 3 - rarely works out we will never now be number 3 as we have established our base camp in the championship and number 1 can only be achieved after succeeding at number 2. we are probably firmly in the number 2 area and you’ve got to kiss a lot of frogs to get there, and when I look at my first 16 years that’s what makes me comfortable with where we are. this is the most sustainable way to get to the top flight and clearly what our owners try to do with their rinse and repeat strategy. Are they capable of getting it right? I don’t know but I fear any sale in this day and age only invites people interested in number 4 and can only look at the likes of reading to see how that works out. abridged version: I like the championship, and being stuck in it is better than being stuck in league 1. Back the team and the new ideas and let’s see where it takes us
  21. Struck me today that it must be nearly 25 years since they were last above us? Sadly it’s not quite the full 1/4 century and we are entering the 24th year of utter dominance. Now can’t get out of my head theres just one team in bristol thats all you need to know theres a team that plays in filton but I just don’t want to know because for 24 years we’ve been looking down on the rovers (rovers? Who the **** are rovers) OTIB.
  22. Louis Carey is, literally by all measurable statistics our record appearance holder. He has appeared the most times on a football pitch as a Bristol city player. Why anyone fights this or try’s to denigrate the achievement of one of our own is just baffling. to adapt a well known saying “give a city fan a bag containing a million quid.. they’d complain about the colour of the bag” happy birthday louis
