  1. Odd game. Midfield was absent for the first 25 minutes. We created a few chances and scored two very good goals. Middlesbrough were pretty dissapointing aside from both the restarts. One thing, should it have been a red? In real time I didn't think so but glancing at the replay at half time it seemed worse than I thought.
  2. Lampard is well spoken and had a GCSE in Latin. Go around any office and you will find many people far sharper than Frank. He seems like a nice bloke but he is not exactly a PhD brainbox.
  3. I was at the game (my cousins are spurs season ticket holders) and I vaguely recall a 4-1-4-1 formation? I think he thought Delph or someone like that could track Kane dropping into the hole. Whatever his plan was, as you say, it was totally ripped apart and we could have seen a cricket score. Kane dropped deep, son exposed the high line. Game over.
  4. Really? Lampard? Did average at Derby with millions to spend. Went nowhere with Chelsea (although admittedly that also happened to someone like Potter who I do regard highly, but this was after that unhinged American came in whereas lampard had Roman) and then scraped by with Everton who are a complete mess so it's hard to judge. Zero confidence he has any tactical awareness. One of the worst performances I've ever seen was his Everton side getting taken to the cleaners at Spurs a few years back.
  5. I am afraid I was there. Now in Kolkota for Pakistan vs. Bangladesh. Stokes was the worst. Slow in the field. Woeful with the bat. Completely embarrassing. Feel sorry for the fans who paid all that money to follow that utter shower. Luckily we only had tickets for the one game.
  6. I'm sorry but this is disgusting from Lansdown. The man is a hopeless leader of a football club. He took 10 years to work out you needed infrastructure ahead of the shiny toys like a aging donkey David James. Now he sacks Pearson. And installs his dribbling nepo baby son as Chairman. Edit: no wonder that Gould chap walked the plank.
  7. When are Bangladesh actually going to threaten the big boys, feels like they should be better than they are. South Africa looking tasty is a breath of fresh air. Will be going in a fortnight. Watching Netherlands v. Australia, England v. India and Pakistan v. Bangladesh. Never been to India before so can't wait.
  8. Let's be real, we are a nothing club going nowhere. After years of false starts it's a wonder why anyone bothers.
  9. Slightly throwaway article but enjoyed the mention of the Auto Windscreens Shield in the national press.

Apologies for bumping this thread but the main issue is corporate hospitality no? Even in the renovated ground the Lansdown stand only has 18 executive boxes which sell out. Seems like we should've tried for double.
  11. Wes Burns 94th minute winner is one of my favourite moments as a Bristol City fan. The Atyeo was truly chaos. A low point was the Charlton match on Boxing Day. conceded in the 90th minute after battering them for the whole game. I thought that was the point when we might be doomed.
  12. Goal is excellent, much better than I thought it was in person. We were laboured and slow, especially in the first half, but post the triple substitution definitely much inproved. Millwall on the other hand did not offer much at all. Very disappointed by them.
  13. Shout out to Cary Grant as well, who is one of the most famous actors in cinema history!
  14. Lansdown has already tried to pump money into the club. We did a terrible job of it in 2010-13 and got relegated. We did a poor job of it in 2018-20 and nearly got relegated. It hasn't worked so we are not going to try it again. Fool me once, shame on you etc.
  15. I see these are now collection only. I live in London so this isn't an option. Has anyone had any luck before buying some tickets and then picking them up from a supporters coach or drop off point near to the ground if I phone the ticket office?
  16. It never ceases to amaze me how shit Rovers are. Its a club in a big wealthy city with a decent potential. Instead they continue to be run by utter morons and play in a stadium resembling a studio mock up of Chernobyl.
  17. Marvin Elliot put himself about and chipped in with a few goals. But technically and tactically LJ was ahead of him. He was an unfussy but useful player with a good first touch and decent ball retention capabilities.
  18. Wolves enter the race. Hopefully we can hook one more club waiting in the wings and push the price towards the mid twenties. Ideally this should be done in the next 7 days to ensure it doesn't distract too much from pre season plans.
  19. Really terrible game this one. Don't watch many matches, no incentive to change that after seeing this.
  20. Being an alcoholic can't have helped.
  21. Kodjia and Webster were incredibly rapid profits in recent years. Albert Adomah will always have a place in my heart. Stand out in that dogshite team under Millen.
