  1. Given the financial position of the football club I just hope we get good wack for him in the summer. I'm talking Webster money. Always loved HNM, all the way back to that excellent Derby away performance the summer he arrived. Good luck to him.
  2. Only watched city since 2005ish. I think some of the slickest football I've seen City play was in the first half of the 17-18 season. Bobby Reid was at the heart of that so he has to be in. As others have mentioned, Joe Bryan's versatility would be incredibly useful. Lee Trundle would probably be in danger of entering into passenger territory but in close quarters would be devastating. JET would bring physicality which is an underrated component of 5-a-side. Steven Caulker would make a excellent defensive minded option. Seems like he's fallen out of favour on this forum but for feet skill I've always rated Jay DaSilva. Finally, someone with a bit of hustle is always needed and Paul Hartley fit that description perfectly and hasn't been mentioned by others. Heaton, Bryan, Hartley, Reid, JET would be my team. With Caulker, Trundle and DaSilva there or there abouts.
  3. good luck to him, he did a good job here but didn't have enough about him to take us into the playoffs.
  4. Did the woman use to be quite good? About 6-8 years ago we were in Europe? What's happened.
  5. It would actually get worse if you include 2018, 2019 and 2020 were our average attendance was c12k more than Rovers.
  6. ball landed in a skip according to the radio? I thought that was everytime it lands at the Mem...
  7. They have a government that works as well. At national and local levels.
  8. I suspect this is going to be wishful thinking as cases start to climb again. I see France have hit 10,500 in one day and they are probably 2-3 weeks ahead of us. October is going to be messy.
  9. Tell you what. Pat Lam is not the cheap option there. He is a world class coach. Would be like us having Bielsa.
  10. Ideal. Best forgot this season existed. Most boring season I can remember from a Bristol City perspective. Derby away was fun, Huddersfield at home was good value. The rest? Vile.
  11. What a ******* moronic decision that was. The organisers should hang their heads in shame irrespective of whether people get the virus or not.
  12. Afraid so! Probably the worst time to undertake departure from the EU since we joined the EEC, aside from the 2008 financial crash. It's possible that the transition period will be extended by 12 months. I hope so anyway. To depart during a global recession would be economically reckless and I can't see the business community letting Johnson go through with it.
  13. You have 3 factors at play 1. Coronavirius impacting global demand, irrespective of whether the outbreak leads to mass fatalities. 2. Global financial markets have had a unprecedented 11 year bull run and were over valued, they were due a correction. 3. Saudi Arabia and Russia entering into a oil price war which could help bring about a deflationary shock. Will 1, 2 and 3 combine to cause global recession? Probably. How deep will that recession be? Thats the 100 trillion dollar question. At the end of the day a couple of sport events being cancelled will be the least of our worries.
  14. 5 wins in a row. Pat Lam is turning Bristol Rugby into a northern hemisphere powerhouse! Have tickets for the playoff final in June and am starting to believe a little!
  15. 140 years and not one in the top flight. Good god.
  16. Planning on going to the woman's world cup this summer. England are always good value to be around at the latter stages of major tournaments.
  17. Performance was miles better against Bolton and the first 30 minutes was utter garbage. Still, wins a win, Wiemann and Kelly look good. Pack and Brown hill were weak.
