  1. Some guy in the EP comments section suggested it should be FAILand..
  2. I remember the Daily Mirror back page headline…. ‘Oh, Darling Donnie..’ due to Donny Osmond’s popularity at the time.. just checked but he wasn’t in the charts that week though.
  3. Blimey Dave, you’re a patient bloke. How long is your evaluation process going to last? Liam’s been here for half a season now with pretty much a full squad, surely you’re close to being on the home stretch?
  4. Sorry, reading your comments above I'm struggling to see why you just couldn't vote on this poll?
  5. Leicester and Leeds automatic… with Leeds closing gap to 2 points. Ipswich, Southampton, West Brom and Norwich in the play offs City 13th with 57 points (why I still think we can beat teams like Huddersfield and Rotherham at home I don’t know) Stoke, Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham down. On 44 points I’ve calculated that we’re already safe.. Which in reality I know won’t be the case but it is an indication that with the remaining fixtures teams near the bottom are going to continue to struggle to pick up enough points to claw their way back.
  6. I misinterpreted your initial response as having a go for me being overly negative and you seemingly being quite content with things as they are… please accept my apologies. Full respect to you too for making the effort and travelling to these games, just wish you hadn’t reminded me of the Birmingham game last season though.. although can only watch via RTV these days, that game in particular still sends shivers down my spine.
  7. Mate, we ain’t going upwards. The conversations have turned from top 6 to bottom 6.. At this rate, in the next year or two the gas wont be coming for us, we’ll be coming for them.
  8. What momentum is that then?
  9. Fair enough we’ve certainly done better away from home against these no hopers… but an average of less than 1.5 points per away game against this lot seems to satisfy you a lot more than it does me. Do you recall the Huddersfield, Birmingham and QPR away games? Dearly me, and BTW thanks to Nige for the two away games against these bottom teams that we were able to win, and for the one at home for that matter. Anyway, stay happy..
  10. We’ve actually lost at home to 4 of the bottom 7.. and still got 2 to play. We did smash Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 though after Barry Bannan was incorrectly sent off..
  11. The truth is, every team we play between now and the end of the season will have us pencilled in for 3 points in the bank... Cardiff, Swansea and Plymouth will be playing for bragging rights and will all more than fancy their chances. the other teams we have to play are all battling at either the top end or the bottom end of the division. It’s going to be a rough 12 games… assuming it can get any rougher than the last couple.. Buckle up!
  12. Love it! Absolutely bang on… our younger supporters especially should take the time to really think about that and imagine how things could be.
  13. Lots of well thought through points there Harry based on what’s happened so far this season and past performance predictions. But honestly based on our last couple of actual performances where do you see us picking up another 15 points? Five of our remaining 12 games are against teams above us who will have too much to play for, if we lose those games and pick up dour draws against the two Welsh sides we’ll need to win the remaining 5 to reach the heady heights of 59 points.

    Sid Out

Soccer Intellect Disorder…. Hissing Sid, the snake..
  15. We’ve dropped 13pts so far this season against bottom 6 sides… no point in worrying too much about getting in the top 6.
  16. At half time versus QPR, surely a most exciting managerial appointment should have been able to affect the game more? We weren’t playing Real Madrid. At half time the rest of our entire season was on the line, not that in any way you would have thought so. And I’m not sure that next year will be any more interesting than this one, Burnley, Luton and Sheffield Utd will occupy the top three positions and progressive teams like Hull, Coventry and Sunderland will be in with a shout making up the top 6, we’ll continue to reduce our losses by selling Tommy and JL and BT will still be here spouting the same crap planning for the following season…
  17. I thought LM was on to it when he brought in Scott Twine on loan… then he inexplicably left him on the bench vs QPR, which assuming he was fit enough to get changed then he would have been fit enough to at least play a part being totally ridiculous. Hull seem to have cracked it though, Carvalho and Zahoury both brought in on loan in January to supplement their existing squad, which is really no better than our squad, and both scoring in the win at the Dell on Tuesday with Russel Martin even saying that they were beaten by the better side, he wasn’t that gracious versus us. If we want to be serious about challenging at the top end of the division then we need to in fact get serious.
  18. In addition, didn’t I read somewhere that Tinnion said that if Twine is not here next season then we would be seeking a Twine type replacement?
  19. Heartbreaking.. Chin up Sam, you played well and there’ll be better days ahead..
  20. Better players than Sam miss penalties.. Harry Kane anyone? It happens.. But couldn’t see it obviously, but sounded so much better than Friday.. We can handle a loss against a good side if we put in a performance like that. Where were these performances against, Millwall, Blackburn, Huddersfield etc.. we’d be in the play offs..
  21. It’s not scheduled on Paramount Plus in Aus. The home game was, the replays not.. Chelsea vs Villa only. it’s not on BEIN Sports in Aus either.
  22. Worse… we’re an attractive team to watch and full of goals.
