If £2 million is available, I would expect the major amount circa £1.2m on a striker and the balance on two others, midfield and left back.
£1.2m for a striker. Hardly worth it at this level

Great assist @BCFCinNW6
I know, I've been in your shoes. Works all the time.
Win lose or draw, this is a terrible team. Low on quality across all facets of the game.

What a shit football team this is

Glen Murray is a total *******.
Was like listening to a bloke talk about football to room full of 8 years olds.

Credit where it's due, he's been much better of late.

Agree, hence why in an ideal world, with a strong enough bench, Martin can be replaced with energy after 65ish minutes.
In short - we need Semenyo back pronto!
I don't envy NP to be honest. It's like trying to paint the Sistine Chapel with a sausage.

That is Pep’s mantra too.
Think it also underpins the “pressing” system too….win it back high up the pitch….and that can apply to both passing and direct teams.
Problem is our attackers have an average age of 72 so a high press after 70 mins is beyond them in terms of stamina!

Every time the club upload a 'Robins Uncut' on YouTube I see fitness exercises, sprinting and 5 aside type matches. At no point have I ever seen any actual coaching going on, defensive set pieces, defending corners, forwards running into channels etc etc. Just wondering if there is actually any coaching going on?
It's a fair point but I don't think they want to publicise those types of drills so opposition teams don't see it.
...But then again I don't think it would make much difference if they did!

So we sack Pearson and Fleming. With a big pay-off, and we bring in who?
Warnock just got sacked.

To be fair don't think we can blame Lansdown for this shambles, most of us were crying out for an experienced manager for a change and that's what he gave us, I wouldn't be surprised if NP quit to be honest.
So you don’t think Lansdown is responsible for the utter failure of this club? Clueless.

He needs to sell up the whole set up and enjoy retirement in Guernsey.

Bollocks. Not being able to pass the ball is lack of ability, **** all to do with coaching.
We just parted company with two coaches, not sure who’s running training!

SL has underachieved at City, so whilst we could be worse off without him, it's true to say we could also be a lot better off without him. I posted this on another thread:
He's been one of the wealthiest owners in English football (top 15) throughout his time in charge at City, yet only the following has been delivered:
1) Football League Trophy winners 2003
2) Third division runners-up 2007
3) Second division play-off finalists 2008
4) Third division champions and Football League Trophy winners 2015*
5) League Cup semi-finalists 2018
And that's it.
The * is there because the manager that delivered those two pieces of silverware was not even SL's choice. The FL Trophy win in 2003 was delivered by Wilson, who was already at the club when SL took over.
So really we are down to SL's football achievements at City being a couple of years under Gary Johnson and a League Cup win over Man United. In 20 years. With £100m+ spent on the playing side.
Sad to say, but it's appalling underachievement.
At last someone speaks the truth

Last night got me thinking. Who would I just not care about if I never saw them in a City shirt again? Well, here’s my list:
Wells - he’s been a complete flop. And a very, very expensive one at that.
Martin - had some good little spells, but is quite evidently nearing the end of his career. Given that he wasn’t ever blessed with pace, a mid 30’s Martin who doesn’t win headers isn’t exactly an asset to anyone.
Dasilva - controversial one maybe this, but the excitement of the England U21 international was never realised and for me he gets beaten too easily.
COD - has never really delivered for us. I think he had a good 60 seconds once against Norwich.
Palmer - can’t be good if so many managers won’t pick him. God that’s another expensive one.
Bakinson - lollops around and is basically a walking liability. I know people say he had a good first half last night, but I didn’t see that, I saw far too many mistakes.
Simpson - what’s the point?
Vyner - time after time not good enough.
Moore - see Vyner.
Pretty damning indictment of the squad for me and highlights just how big a task Nige has in front of him, although I accept I think he should be doing better.
Anyone have any other ideas?
You’ve got that about right

Not sure I’ve seen a more abject performance by a ref in all my years.

Only time will tell, and I fully appreciate patience is needed only 5 months into a so called 3 year project. One thing I do believe is that more communication with the fanbase is needed, because if Nige loses the fanbase then it's a sinking ship. I am frustrated at present, and maybe Alex Ball WILL work out.....i just think there is a big difference between youth coaching and the organisation of the First team squad. Downing and Simpson came from coaching young players, and that did not work out. I would like to see an experienced coach with a solid professional CV of First team coaching come in and organise and motivate....... ..but that is just me.
How much more comms do you need from the club? They push out so many manager interviews, player content / interviews and everything else, I sometimes wonder if there’s anytime for the actual football.

Without context and on it's own, it is just a slogan and not at all offensive, after all it encourages people to treat everybody equally.
The problem comes when it is used as a response to "Black Lives Matter" - BLM came about as a way of saying black lives shouldn't be worth less than white, and this was very much seen as a problem in society. When the response to this is "All Lives Matter" then it is about dismissing these fears and effectively saying things are fine as they are.
Andy Bennett did not call the protestors Far Right (I believe Right Wing was what he said, and being called Right Wing does not mean you are being called racist), so the banner was wrong and misguided from the beginning.
Eloquently put.

Hes shit mate when you think we got rid of Smozdics and kept him oh god .
According to web sources Callum O Dowda earns £436,000 a year at City, excluding apearance and goal bonuses etc .
That's 3 x times the salary of the Prime Minister (not this he's much more useful tbf).
Think about that for a minute..

Haha, a fair question that I will try to explain.
Ok, so being "colourblind" doesn't mean I do not see colour. Basically I just see red and green less intensely than most. In reality this affects my daily life very little, however there are some circumstances where it does cause issues.
I find that when multiple shades of red/green/brown (or blue/purple or white/pink) are present and 'mixed' together - I have trouble distinguishing them.
So, where it is just City in red versus a green pitch, it's basically fine. That's one strong clear shade of red on a strong, clear green background. I probably don't see the green as brightly as you, but I can see the players just fine. It's when a third option is introduced that the struggle begins for me, especially if, as on Wednesday, that third option is a darker green like Celtic wore. Another example is a snooker table - apparently there are green and brown balls on that thing but all I've ever seen is a bunch of reds at one end, and then two others next to the yellow ball in baulk.
As @Tinmans Love Child says, actually I more often have issues seeing purple. I've had numerous pieces of clothing that I've thought are blue, only to be told years later they are purple. Our purple kit really isn't that offensively bright to me either. It's all because I don't perceive the red element of the purple very well, and so it comes across as a muted blue.
I absolutely refuse to believe in made up colours like 'turquoise', 'magenta' and 'cyan'.
Caveat all the above with the fact that colourblindness is very much a spectral issue (pardon the pun) and everyone that 'suffers' from it will be affected in a slightly different way, and will have a slightly different experience.
This was really insightful, thanks for sharing.
(pardon another pun!).

HNM was the best player on the park at QPR away last September.
I took a neutral to the game and he was wondering why on earth HNM was playing with our lot!
