  1. You not agreeing with a point of view doesn't make it horseshit. My point is, Taylor Moore did his absolute best to make a career at AG, even taking a reduced contract. I would happily applaud him if he returns to AG. HNM otoh, as is totally his right, spent the last year of his contract trying to leave. What the rights and wrongs of it are I don't know but if he returns it would be a meh from me.
  2. As someone whose priority is bcfc, not HNM, that is exactly what is wrong about his decision imo. I certainly won't be wishing him well when he has cost us a fair chunk of money and shown no desire to commit to the club, which is my priority.
  3. When you say 'equivalent' does that mean at least the current salary? As most players are being offered reduced terms, maybe we wouldn't actually meet that condition? 300k is way below his market value but better than nowt.
  4. Would it be a free transfer if he leaves in the summer (as stated in the article) or is any compensation involved? I would guess compo only comes into it if you offer a new contract, but we did.
  5. NP said in one of his pressers that he didn't know anything about him being on 99 games. So either he was telling porkies or this isn't right. To be clear, I see no reason why he would deny it, even if it was true as he is pretty open about most things.
  6. I hear it takes two days for Bournemouth to do a medical so maybe that's the delay ?. At least that was the story with the french player they were looking to sign.
  7. Don't think either Superbob or Andy Cole cost £1.2m or 150k did they?
  8. I'd be sorry to see Semenyo go as he is a player who can be exciting to watch on a good day. However, I am also keen to see NP get a bit of money to spend and see what he might be able to achieve given the chance.
  9. He wasn't fit, then when he was, NP decided to keep him on the bench. I don't think it is any coincidence that after a run of games where he started he has got his mojo back. I do struggle to understand why he wasn't given a run of games earlier. Similar questions about why Cam Pring wasn't in the team. I question some of Nige's selection decisions, while accepting I don't know what goes on off the pitch.
  10. I agree. I think £20-25m for Scott seems over-ambitious based on his contribution right now. He doesn't get enough goals/assists and isn't a Kante-type MF who justifies that fee with other attributes imo. What they are paying for really is potential. So a lower up-front fee of say £15m but with lots of add ons in case he reaches the potential he seems to have seems more realistic to me. But what do I know. ?
  11. So this is the key question for me. Is that because their players are better than ours;is it because our confidence at home is low, or is it that Swansea are being coached better than our side? Probably a combo of all three but I do feel we lack a cohesive style of play that points toward the coaching as at least a contributing factor. NP says he isn't a coach but he chose the coaches and I am not convinced they are delivering.
  12. I'm fed up with having no midfield. Feels like we've been saying we need a decent defensive MF ever since we got back into this league. God knows how many midfielders we've gone through and we're still being over-run, as is the case today according to RB commentary.
  13. £20m is probably not unrealistic for post-Covid championship valuations. As long as it included a good chunk of any future profit it might be worth considering.
  14. Boro really showing the benefit of the new manager bounce. Made me wonder whether SL ever managed to change manager and get that kind of effect. Cotterill maybe but that was only really after a good transfer window. We probably have had a good bounce on changing boss at some point and I've just forgotten it.
  15. I think the problem is we aren't good in the air. So straight corners are likely to be cleared by a CB. We miss having a Flint or Fam on corners
  16. Been watching since 7:40 on sky Q. It was a different menu than usual but no problem finding it.
  17. I know Antoine hasn't done much recently but it can't be easy just coming on for 15-20 mins every game. I'd like to give him a run of starts and hope he can play himself back into some form.
  18. Having watched Cotts team wallop Dean Smith's Walsall on multiple occasions I was always dubious of his ability. He was lucky to manage Brentford who recruited class players for his side. Wouldn't want him here.
