It’s a disgraceful “tackle”. For one it’s purely cynical, no attempt to play the ball and then it’s dangerous. It looks bad enough in real time
You are in a minority who thought it was an error to only book him on first viewing then i’d imagine.

He can have the full length of his contract and then some more from me. If we lose a few bedwetting supporters along the way, so much the better.
What makes you so confident in him? I’m not saying you are wrong or that i have any idea who would do a better job. Just why the blind optimism?

Sorry that's not a sending off. Did VAR even look at it?
Agree. There comes a point where there has to be contact. Ok it was a tasty collision but a 50/50 that neither could/should pull out of. Neither went in overly aggressive. Will be like watching basketball soon.

Nope. But couldn’t see how high he was.
Exactly and it only becomes apparent when it’s looked at in that detail. If it’s not “clear and obvious” after 2-3 full speed replays from different angles then check over get on with it

Nobody complains if thats checked and they say correct yellow only. They need to find a way of convincing ex pro’s to be referees in my opinion.
-
Did anyone think it was red until they did it frame by frame or showed a still image?
-
Anyone who has played any level of footy knows that is only ever a yellow. Take a photo and slow it down you can make any tackle look reckless/out of control

That red card is exactly why i want VAR nowhere near the championship

Will happen alot more i think. Someone tried it at the emirates last night.

Whoppers on here revelling in it. Not a peep out of them at the weekend.
Poison.
Didn’t people get called happy clappers when they tried to defend Lee Johnson?

We are where we are

Maybe Kalas isn’t the problem

Well, he was a better signing than LJ’s signing of Diony.
Did you not think Diony was a potentially good signing at the time? I know i did. Not sure many thought Simpson was ever a good idea.

Playing an 18 year old striker with a handful of senior appearances under his belt at right back is ridiculous. Then watching that first half unfold the way it did and watch him have one of the worst halves of footy i have seen from a player is frankly shocking management every way you look at it.

Brownhill won't play for England imo.
You are probably right whilst playing for Burnley. Put him in a better/more fashionable team and i don’t see why not.

But Wiemann didn’t need to play it to feet, a little dink 10 yds in front of Semenyo and it gets interesting at it means the keeper has to come out as the defenders would never have caught up. Wrong decision but that’s being super critical on Wiemann today
Thats the far harder option than semenyo slowing his run down to stay onside
-
I don’t think weimann is either great or poor. What i do say about him is he isn’t the best footballer, the thing that stands out most about him is his work rate. Give him a chance he doesn’t have to think about he can be very good. Give him time to think and i think he looks a far worse player

Weimann's fault for delaying pass...should have released it immediately.
No chance, not for me. Defender blocked the path of the pass initially but had to close AW. At that point semenyo has to simply slow down to stay onside. Never in a million years is that anyone but semenyos fault

Semenyo just ran straight offside then. Footballing brain lacking big time
