  1. My point was more if City don't reward players for their loyalty (i.e. thanks for playing in our academy for X years), then why should players sign new contracts to show loyalty to the club?
  2. Was buzzing after our loss to Brighton. Not buzzing after our 8-2 win over Walsall when we had a promotion party.
  3. Vile man. Hope he is never involved in football again.
  4. Different times. Can't compare.
  5. Do the club pay leaving bonuses to academy kids who they release?
  6. Must do well every Christmas to with the Pop Master Game and Book sales! I've had a few in my time
  7. Seen a few tweets about sha La La La - what’s the tune meant to be?
  8. But SC inherited a squad from SOD who you say was “poor quality”, but turned results around? Pearson surely should get credit for bringing Scott, Semenyo, Conway, Vyner etc on?
  9. I think the point is, half of SODs time was in league one. All of Pearson time has been championship…
  10. I like Sara Cox, I prefer her to Simon Mayo to be honest. He always came across a bit up himself. I listen to Virgin on a morning now Chris Evans, with Vassos.
  11. Yes, but they are also going to alienate a lot of their current audience. Ken Bruce had the biggest show in the UK, that's only going to drop now.
  12. Surprised about this, must be trouble at mill. I'd understand if he was retiring, but moving to a commercial station means either issues and/or pay rise. Chris Evans, Simon Mayo, Steve Wright, Graham Norton and now Ken. A lot of fantastic presenters leaving. I like Sara Cox, Jo Wiley, and Zoe Ball (to a degree), but it all feels like downgrades. On a plus note, I work on a brand who target adults aged 45+. So means I can explore sponsoring his new show, particularly as Pop Master goes with him!
  13. People shouldn't be moving mid season, standing up and ruining others experience. But the time to raise it is now, as the club are slow to act (still waiting on the membership scheme to be sorted for example!). The club and supporter groups should work together for a solution for next season, where we announce that A Block and S82 are for a certain fan experience, but those currently in block A can move to another seat and they'd recommend Y.
  14. The issue with S82 is the sound doesn't travel well. The stadium has not been designed to be a nosey atmospheric ground, which is a shame. I do think having 2x singing sections, A Block and S82 is a good idea, spreads the noise and means more people in Dolman will also join in. There's now the new family section of the Lansdown, as well as plenty of other blocks for people who despise singing to sit in. A welcome addition, but needs to be done right. I hope the new CEO can play a major role in this.
  15. No, we scored 4 goals and won at home. This is not the Bristol City way!
  16. It’s crazy the lack of publication about this protest. One post on Instagram, and zero posts on here (City’s biggest fan platform). Terribly organised. I’ll be impressed if it gets into double figures.
  17. Honestly forgot about Semenyo! Yep take out Williams, put him in. 4,4,2.
  18. I feel perhaps Naismith will go to left back? Max, Tanner, Vyner, Atkinson, Naismith Skyes, James, Scott, Williams, Pring Wells Just a guess?
  19. They expecting the machines not to work again?
  20. It's all relative though. Lansdown is a good owner, but he has reached his limit. I don't expect us to ever really be more than a mid table Championship club under Lansdown. He hasn't got the motivation or skills to take us to the next level. He is therefore better than a lot of other clubs owners, but not everything is black and white.
  21. It also comes down to a conversation on Sunday during Swansea I was having with another fan. I'd rather play direct ugly football and get results right now, than nice football and only win 3 in 20. Ideally we get to a stage where we play nice football and win. I don't however agree we are playing "nice" football right now anyway, I find out football completely set up for counter attack and our midfield is often overran. But that's a different point.
  22. You could argue the only reason we "outshot" Swansea and Stoke were because we were behind. We saw the West Brom game very different. 10 mins in we were completely outnumbered and pinned back. 25 mins in we should of been 1 nil down, a proper let off. West Brom weren't anything special, very shaky at the back and were there for the taking. However our passing, movement, formation was poor.
  23. We started well, yes. However 3 wins in 20. We haven't just been unlucky with finishing, we've been pretty poor quality wise. Swansea (H) 44% possession, 6 shots, 2 on target (Vs Swans 4 shots, 2 on target). Coventry 46% possession, 9 shots, 2 on target. (Vs Cov 16 shots, 6 on target). Millwall 46% possession, 6 shots, 2 on target. (Vs Millwall 9 shots, 0 on target). West Brom (H) 52% possession, 8 shots, 3 on target (vs 15 shots, 4 on target) Stoke (H) 51% possession, 14 shots, 5 on target (vs 6 shots, 3 on target) Rotherham 45% possession, 9 shots, 4 on target (vs 16 shots, 5 on target). Therefore none of those games post WC, we have dominated in terms of shots, or possession. I think you're just used to watching crap football, and accepting it.
