Yes he’s had no budget, and shifted lots of dead wood on. He’s even done well in terms of bringing the academy kids through. But tactically he’s been dire, we have no style of play anymore, he’s playing players out of position to fit a system which doesn’t even prove fruitful. It’s not enjoyable watching City, I’m not saying we are a team who should be in the play offs, but we shouldn’t be 1 point off relegation either. Time to go, allow a younger progressive coach to come in and have the Jan window.

It’s on Nigel to sort out a style of play, formation and approach which fits our players. The current doesn’t at all, and he’s playing players out of position to try so. We have zero options in midfield, a defence full of gaps they are exploiting, and when we do have possession we are so static it’s like watching a charity game. I honestly hope the formation changes at half time. 4 at the back, Weimann up top with Conway and Wells where he’s most deadly

Scott is a better RWB than Weimann. He also hasn’t scored or assisted much unlike Weimann last season. Not sure why they aren’t swapped over.

Yep, why do we play this formation. It doesn’t work and we haven’t even got the players for it. Once again we are being overrun in midfield. Either drop a striker, or narrow the width at the back and push a man into midfield.

Makes a lot of sense. The mascots themselves look far better than scrumpy, and it’s nice to have Robyn too, particularly with the growth of the female game. A good move all round imo.

And we have progressed accordingly. We've gone from serial underachievers, to a team who has reached a WC Semi, Euro's final, and were a missed penalty away from taking France to extra time. We also have a small pool of players, vs other countries. We don't have an Mbappe, or a Messi right now but our youth are improving based on all the great plus points above. Southgate has massively progressed English football, results and performances. However it's easy to forget, for you, that you're competing about every other country too!
