Im up for it. Think we are gradually getting the better of our friend Covid. He's getting weaker by the day.

    Because of the lockdown....

If we come out of it too quick then the virus will spread and more lives will be lost.

We have the most deaths in Europe due to going into lockdown and it shows, so we shouldn't rush our because you're bored.

I think all clubs are very lucky more fans aren't asking for refunds now

Clearly no one will be attending the last 5 games so in principle refunds could be offered now.

Feels like the climate has changed economically in the last week and that businesses including football are beginning to creak. There is a real push to open businesses and get football on again .

But until things are finalised then how can they refund?

If they did, and then games returned with fans, it would be a nightmare to sort out.

You buy a season ticket with no guarentee when games are.

Furloughed their "players"..? Are you sure about that..? Or just the non playing staff..?

I'm not sure the Furlough scheme is meant for people who are probably earning £70-100k+ per year..! Even if they do get it capped at £2.5k per month.

    Includes players yes.

Furlough is for anyone, but youre right it's capped at £2.5k per month. Bristol Rovers are topping up their wages to the full amount.

30% deferral. Granted a deferral isn't a cut, but it's a short to medium term hit.

Who knows the terms- they might be paid back over time or subject to % based on more normal revenue streams returning.

30% hit for well paid players is better than 20% hit for those at the other end.

Has it been confirmed that Bristol City aren’t topping up the 80% to full wages?

It hasn't been mentioned that they will, which if was the case would definitely be mentioned. Even Bristol Rovers are topping up the 20%.

I'm of the belief that until we have only one league club in this city, the chances of true success for any club are diminished

I have no idea why this would be the case.

Look at Sheffield, two clubs and United are doing very well.

Actually are there any other 2 club cities apart from us, Sheffield, Manchester and Liverpool? Good quiz question here.

That really is Olympic standard delusion. We have a chance to go second today, the arena plans were announced just days ago and the Bears are having their best season in living memory. Why on Earth would SL bail now?

Well we have a chance to go second but it would involve us winning by 7 goals and Fulham losing by 5....

Classy. On the biggest night in their history of us being knocked out and them going through to the 3rd round they embarrass themselves again.

No, that’s just one person. That’s unfair to tarnish all their fans for one idiots comment.

Youre missing the point. It costs £30 or so now to watch the mens team. There are many people that only watch the womens game....why should they stump up £30 plus to watch just the ladies. They may not want to stay and watch the mens game afterwards. It is not practical to charge a low fee just for those that want to just watch the women. By charging normal admission costs for the mens game you are penalising fans of the womens game.

I have no interest in watching the womens game either before or after.

It’ll only be a couple of games to try and draw bigger crowds. Good idea imo.

Cardiff will tell FIFA that Emiliano Sala’s move from Nantes was invalid when the club responds to a complaint over their refusal to pay the Ligue 1 outfit his £15million transfer fee.

    Vile.

6699 for a semi final with Wembley and a final against Portsmouth at stake !  Best supporters in Bristol my arse :)

Not going to mock an attendance in this cup. I would boycott if we ever ended up back in it. Should never sold its soul, real shame.

According to a report I heard on the radio today, Nantes had insured Sala for more than the transfer fee they were due to receive from Cardiff....so they will receive two very hefty amounts after this absolute tragedy....just doesn’t seem right, even if it is...

Surely they can’t be right? If I insured a car and sold it and it broke I couldn’t claim the money....

It is disgraceful that Nantes are asking for some form of payment, show some f****** humility and empathy to the sensitive situation.

Like people say, this poor lad has not even been found, so no chance to pay last respects. At least leave it till then and show respect to the family who are only now beginning to grieve.

As mentioned, this will surely be down to an insurance issue, which I can imagine will take an eternity to sort out, if indeed Cardiff were covered!

We don’t know what their cash flow situation is like to be honest. They may really need the money and Cardiff should pay as its due. Cardiff were to pay it if Sala was still here.

It also seemed like Cardiff leaked the news, which I don’t agree with.

Can't see that happening.Fulham etc would be a little bit annoyed.

I think Fulham would totally understand.

However the issue would be sourcing players unneeded by their parent club, as they wouldn’t be able to get a replacement.

  14. There’s some comments around the transfer window being extended for Cardiff to sign another striker.

Would be a very strange situation for any new striker at the club, knowing you’re replacing a recently departed player.

It’s typical of Rovers fans. Last week, after a few good results, the fans said the new manager was the new messiah (and they should know they’ve followed a few). Now the callers to Radio Bristol say he’s a tactical idiot.

He’s not the messiah, he’s a very naughty boy

That’s a relatively long contract these days....a rolling 12 month one is the way to go....I’d have just given him a contract until the end of the season and said ‘go prove yourself and we’ll talk again in June’ - now he’s got the comfort of a longish deal...

I fully expect it to have a clause saying “if performances are XYZ and you’re fired you’d only get paid for 1 year”.

Actually I just remembered this is Rovers, I highly doubt the contract is even “water tight” ?
