My partners first City game live. She had to sit through a few shockers on Robins TV last season, so hope it's entertaining otherwise she will be dreading Bournemouth at home in a few weeks!!!
Anyone know where I can buy flowers and chocolate in the Bermondsey area??

Genuinely have 1 adult ticket going spare now.
(Not my partner to add, she's still coming, it's her cousin who can't make it (who is a City fan)).

Just listened to pt2. Comes across really well. Admits he was shit and understands the stick he got. Loves the city and the area and wished it’d been better. No conspiracies here…
How can we listen? Can't find it

Steady. Can improve at both sides of his game but he's young and will. No glaring errors.

Those 4 points we’ve dropped by conceding late goals against Blackpool and Luton really have created more pressure
What pressure? We are midtable

Then I doubt Nixon reported it at all otherwise the poster who put it on here would’ve said so, which they didn’t.
In fact, if I remember correctly, when I asked them if they could put any meat on the bones the response was along the lines of “I don’t really give a **** if you believe me or not, I know what I know”.It was in the Sun. Know I'm not going mental!

If Alan Nixon subsequently reported it after it appeared on here...I don’t know?
I doubt that's the case. We may of been interest in him though?

The Lingard rumour was the result of one poster (who I haven’t seen since) telling us, for a fact, that we we’re in the process of signing him.
At the time I got absolute pelters for my cynicism...from a poster called ‘Cynic’, which amused me.Actually if I remember rightly it was Alan Nixon in the Sun reporting it.

Just appointed Jevons as first team coach. No idea what he's like as a coach but good pedigree from Everton.
Is it a bit of a job for the boys though?

The encouraging thing for me is where any OTIB poster who comes up with their 442(ish) line-up, none of them look ridiculous. We have a group of players capable of playing at this level, so the odd tweak here or there looks fine.
I reckon
Scott
Wells Kalas King Simpson
Martin Janneh Vyner Bentley
Dasilva Baker
Classic big man little man up top.

Their assistant manager Mick Harford (who played for us in the early 1980’s) is a Luton Town legend, he is currently fighting prostate cancer, which is the most common cancer in men, but most men with early prostate cancer don’t have symptoms. For more on this including a 30 second prostate health checker see: https://www.lutontown.co.uk/news/2021/july/mick-interview/
The most important part of this superb post.

Are we a better side than Preston, because we haven’t been for years
It's not progression if we don't become better sides than others.

A point is a point,it’s all about survival this season and picking up points when not playing well will see us fine
I don't think it's about survival, we should be too good to go down.
I think it's about progression. About turning some more home games into wins, like this. About playing better football than the last 2 years, which by and large we have done this season.
I'm not expecting a top 6 finish, but do hope to see more home wins so a point against Preston is a tad disappointing. Hopefully we can beat Luton and get this duck off our back.

How do you define successful? I'd say Pato, Wright were successful for example.

Why is it? If he looks after himself hes a gtd starter is he not? Im pretty sure i dont get paid if i dont turn up to work! Training and keeping fit is the minimum of a footballer anyway
It depends what you do for a living. For me it'll be like only being paid for presenting to clients, not getting paid for creating documents etc. I'd not be too happy if it's my boss who picks if I present (and thus get paid) or not.
Anyway it's more likely you'd just do a basic salary, and then additional bonus for appearing.

Can anyone actually do this? It would be like your boss at work saying they will choose when and how much to pay you on a weekly basis. Surely its very rare people can live like that.
The most bizarre thing is people will expect Andy to train every day, be on a very strict diet, and then only get paid if and when he's played. It's totally bonkers!

I agree, however as we saw today the lack of width meant we struggling attacking. Really felt for Tanner.
