Could've sworn Nketiah declared for Ghana, welcome surprise.

I’ve not noticed either at Ashton Gate watching the first team games with the rest of the U21s.

Seems reliable too.
I think it’s pretty fair.
It’s basically a £2m player being given to us to “try before we buy” for a third of the fee….enabling us to get it done quickly. It gives West Brom some cash, as it won’t be a huge wage saving for them for a young homegrown player.
If we have to buy him NOW, they are probably asking for £1m as the first payment.
Feels like a happy medium, and I’m not talking Doris Stokes!
Do you think TGH has already signed a “pre-contract” here, so we can trigger the transfer without his consent in the future?

These are the rewards you get for working so hard for 3 years to reduce the wage bill, getting rid of plenty of high earners and selling Semenyo.
Scott out and Gardner-Hickman in on loan.
Well done to all involved

Isn’t about time the women footballers deserve equal pay with the men .
How in 2023 this situation is allowed to continue, surely the government must put through legislation that women and men are paid the same .
I see I’m not alone in this call there are many MPs and high (and low) profile celebrities demanding action on this issue.
If women had equal pay with the men at their level they’d be earning the same as Paulton Rovers

How much would this loan cost? 750k-1m?

If he goes he goes. He’s done a very good job here in relaying the foundations but that also means if we have to change manager it will be an easier transition for them too.

Some clubs do one big clap once a year for everyone, seems to work well.

Are we past playing them both as a front two? Does that have too many implications for how we’re now set up?
There were two games towards the end of last season where Conway played just off Wells (Reading H and Stoke A). 4 points from 2 games so you never know we might see it once or twice this season

Yep, exactly that.
In Kalas’s case, if he’s on an alleged £25k p.w. he’s due £100k+ this month. If he’s looking to take a wage cut to say £10k p.w., and signed on 1/7, then he would forego his severance. If he signed today, he’d lose the last 10 days (pro-rata’d).
I didn't even know this was a thing, but looking back at our past free transfers was interesting to see Maenpaa signed on 1st Aug, after spending pre-season on trial with us. What a coincidence!

As a ' trialist' for Yate...are City looking to put him out on loan into men's football?
City are doing Yate a favour I think allowing him on trial for their pre-season games, the plan is to loan him to a higher division than the one they're in

His performance against Lincoln last season was really really bad. Probably the worst I've seen at the club (including Marinovic vs Ipswich and Vyner vs Brighton 2016)

I wonder how the club are using the Bristol Post (James Piercy).
Recently he seems to be reacting to news as it comes out, either rubbishing reports (Naismith, Fiorini) or confirming them (Knight, Roberts, Dickie).
Do City tell him in advance who we are after so he can confirm or deny once they are made public via other sources?

Shame they didn't bring Colin Murray over to ITV, someone with genuine enthusiasm for the EFL.
Instead they picked these two who clearly didn't have the knowledge required, with one of them even presenting a Premier League show during the day on Saturdays whilst all the EFL games are taking place!
