Does anyone have the clip/quote of what Tinnion said weeks ago on (I think) Radio Bristol about what we were going to do this summer? I remember it sounding very positive with plenty of intent. Would like to re-read/listen

I said about this before on here.
People like to think Nige listened to their tactical knowledge by switching to 433 but the reality is we switched to it because Conway got injured. Up until that point none of us would have dropped Wells or Conway so the options were 352 or 442 and I don't think we had the players for 442.
I've been saying for a while that I think we may possibly go back to 352 because Pearson does like to have the two strikers.
My theory is we switched to it at half time vs Swansea in the FA Cup as they were playing us off the park and we need an extra man in midfield (Naismith) so we could get after them. It worked in the second half of that game and we stuck with it right up to QPR away

Wonder, if this is true, if it's in any way linked to the doubts about Joe Bryan or if we're planning to sign both?

That's because Bristol Live is a shit website with even worse reporters. They need to keep the clicks going so a "will he? won't he?" series of stories is the only way they can think of generating those clicks.
Absolute bollocks.

Yeah, but Luton aren't going to sign him on a short contract are they so when they come straight back down Scott finds himself tied to a Championship club that may not want to let him go. With his level of talent and the fees being mentioned, he should be looking at teams like Liverpool, Brighton, Spurs or maybe Villla, clubs that will still be up there for the foreseeable future but he can get game time. With Liverpool looking likely to have signed Mac Allister the logical step would be for Brighton to use their success this season and turn a big sale of Mac Allister into a win-win by signing Scott for £20-25m. GIves them a healthy profit and turns a foreign-based player into an English-based player with a very long career ahead of him. I think Brighton would be mad to pass up the opportunity being as they've basically been forced to sell their talisman midfielder.
Replacing a world cup winner at 19 years old, now that would be a huge compliment and statement

A popular figure in local media amongst City fans has just told me in the pub it’s signed and sealed.
Jordan Jones?

The fact we've gone early is a massive help. West Brom have no money to spend as far as I'm aware but if they sold a few in the next few weeks to raise funds then maybe they could've pipped us

Shrews have just appointed Cheltenham’s DOF Mickey Moore, which forced Keith Burt out the door. All of this unbeknown to Cotts.
Best league finish in 30-odd years.
Got to the playoffs in 2019 didn't they?

Sykes, O'Dowda and McClean being listed as defenders reminds me of a Jamie Carragher quote "if you're a fullback you're either a failed winger or a failed centre-back"
