Footage from day one: https://youtu.be/5JelyGt44tU
Day 1 of the camp and hardly any sign of the manager. It's quite a unique style he's got isn't it, because I can't imagine watching the same sort of video for all the other Champ clubs and barely seeing their gaffer involved.
You just see him in the background, prowling. Love it.

Superb succession planning.
I’m getting old a forgetful but want it something like Hogan to Vibe to Maupay to Watkins to Toney. They had Forss waiting in the wings in case Toney didn’t come / didn’t work out also.
Yep and although Gray and Hogan were signed in the same summer, Hogan picked up a long injury so you could argue it went Gray to Hogan to Vibe to Maupay to Watkins to Toney

No, that was the old regime, sell Webster for £20m, buy 12 players for more than £20m and increase the wage bill hugely in the process.
This regime are different.
Ambition is there, don’t worry…there’s many ways to skin a promotion cat!
Norwich sold James Maddison and got promoted
Sheff Utd sold David Brooks
Leeds sold Jack Clarke
Not direct comparisons to us but slightly interesting nonetheless

On paper not a bad start of the season, whereas February look particularly tough.
We'll have our January recruits by then

Tanner is better defensively than some of above teams FBs/WBs.
The simplification is really that the best teams have the best players, and the best teams can play to those player’s strengths. If Boro had to play defensively due to inadequacies elsewhere, you wouldn’t be saying Ryan Giles is a good attacking full back. Ryan Giles is an awful defensive full-back but Boro play to negate his weaknesses.
Boro last season is a great example of a team we can compare our wing backs to.
Tommy Smith rarely burst forward and often tucked in with Isaiah Jones or Forss keeping the width on the right. Tanner is more than capable of doing that with Sykes wider.
Giles was basically a winger and a huge creative force for them, Pring is a similar type of player and is also stronger defensively than RG

could be a bit of protection work for the club here by saying no bid has been made yet…
Interesting bit at the bottom about O'Brien

Mixed emotions. This clearly means we’re expecting Alex Scott to leave this window, no?
The scenes at FT at Loftus Road put me in no doubt he's leaving this summer

And Massengo…people forget about him. He’ll be on a pretty huge wedge I’d imagine.
And Wells' old wages from Summer 22

just lived in hope that my no1 recruitment option at least had a rumour / story in the mix. Felt a bit of wee!
What kind of player is he? Who would he remind me of? Not seen much of him so don't really know what type we're after here

Welcome to Ashton Gate Haydon.
Did I imagine when asked about the summer's transfer activity Tins said a while back we were looking to sign several youngish but match experienced players (min. 150-200 apps) from the lower divisions?
Now we have1 signing from a PL club,1 from the Championship, and another from the SPL, perhaps that has changed.
If not, presumably they're still to come?
Roberts has 2 seasons experience at 21 in a lower division
McCrorie is only 25 and has plenty of experience in a lower (lesser) division

If Derby are offering only slightly less wages than us but also promising him much more game time next season, and promotion hopes, he wouldn't be that mental to go there

Similar to Dickie in that he had a very poor season individually with lots of criticism from his own fans. But there is a player in there

Wish he did retire. Hate that bloke
