  1. Gareth Ainsworth Paul Warne Paul Cook Eddie Howe Tony Mowbray Mick McCarthy Michael Duff Matt Taylor Mark Robins basically ones who seem principled and don’t make excuses I’ve not added in any City ones although I could
  2. Will be a one game ban (2 yellows), and served in the next game, regardless of competition the red card was issued in. Same for men and women. The only exception is the EFL Cup (Freight Rover!!) where suspensions apply in-comp, but that’s a men-only comp.
  3. I had no idea Jones was a Bristol lad. As were Acey and Backwell too.
  4. Blackpool home to Huddersfield this Saturday. What timing!!!
  5. Absolutely… ….it was the other 57 players it didn’t cover! ???
  6. Wyscout hasn’t coded any of last night’s non-televised games…yet. Whether they’ll get the match at some point and then code it I don’t know. @Lrrrany thoughts? (I was hoping to clip some OTC bits and pieces)
  7. I thought the ref was excellent tonight. I didn’t see her first yellow, but the second yellow was a stupid push near the hoardings and deserved a yellow. She looks a good player though.
  8. Nor is a new manager bounce guaranteed.
  9. Indeed, been bugging me all day when I saw a list of father and son’s for City…and I knew there was another pair. I used to regularly frequent the Horse & Groom on a lunchtime which they ran (owned?). Both were really nice blokes.
  10. Great tackle late on by Layzell, like Bobby Moore on Pele. Disappointed in our inability to keep the ball. Seemed to get stuck playing down one side, never opened the play back out and allowed Lewes to swarm us.
  11. Sloppy performance from City first half. Hutton (the goalscorer) and Palmer the standouts though. The only two players who seem unrushed by Lewes physical / energetic style. Wilde a bit better when swapped over to the right. Clark has looked solid each time I’ve seen her between the sticks.
  12. As per my above post, I haven’t seen the aggressiveness/ feistiness side if him in the games I’ve seen, nor did I last night, due to the FAC tv deal ???, so I can’t really comment whether it’s part of his game. He’s tenacious, ie puts opponents under pressure, but I’ve not seen him tackle like those two…yet.
  13. Equally Rowatt and Robins bringing through Academy too.
  14. Busy player isn’t he? I was a bit surprised on the wireless last night to hear him crunching into tackles, not really seen that in u21 games this season and u23s last season on RTV. I was at the RHPC for the friendly against Exeter (pre-season) where he came on for Massengo (inj) after half an hour. Tim Dieng gave him a real problem for the rest of the first half, dragging him short, then running off him into space as Exeter bypassed our midfield. He looked lost. At h-t we switched from 3412 with Omar and King alongside each other to 433 (Alex Scott coming on for James Taylor) where Scott’s presence in there got us into the game. We scored twice late on to get a 2-2 draw, but he really seemed strong at the end, a tenacious little bugger, with reasonable technical ability. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t see him getting into the first team reckoning at that point, but the fast-tracking of players players initially into the training group seems to be rapidly improving them and getting them prepared should they need to come into the team.
  15. Think there is a view that historically we’ve underpaid our Academy players compared to their “peers”, hence they’ve been keen to exploit the opportunity to look else, e.g. the grass is greener (more £s) on the other side of the fence.
  16. Depends what age they leave, and what leaving form they complete, as to whether we get any compo. I know the question was more about the players contract though.
