  1. With Bobby there were probably some who thought he was worth persevering that bit longer because he was under-sized. Even as a kid he was held back because he was small. I saw the season before the potential when he scored 4 in the opening 10 games from midfield. He was in Tomlin’s wavelength but got sacrificed because Tomlin was too much of a luxury to have both. I think he is actually left footed. I think he’s comfortable on his right too, but favours his left. His control and skills / dribbles are predominantly left footed. I prefer him on the left, but on Sunday he was really good on the right and hardly involved on the left. Ooooooh, now there’s a pairing we could do with now. And also if we are talking about CB playing CM then as a City fan, Rennie is the benchmark. With Bobby if we ignore that he made his debut in the Championship pre-relegation, in effect he was trying to breakthrough whilst the club was also improving....in effect the goalposts (no pun) kept moving. He eventually caught up in 16/17 with much more regular involvement, then went stellar on us in 17/18, coupled with a positional change. I still think he would’ve had a good (albeit not so good) season had he still played in midfield, but I’m glad he did well up top.
  2. wow. Well done you! Yet for many (me included) he was our best player yesterday. For all my criticism of O’Dowda over the while, I’ve never wanted anything more than for him to come good and fulfil the potential he has. He bloody winds me up, but I’ve never wanted a player to fail to prove my judgement right. What a fan. ??
  3. So Derby have had to fall in line with the amortisation model that the other 71 EFL clubs follow.
  4. For some reason that really made me laugh ??? I can see the headline now....Lee Tomlin, not overweight, but pregnant. ???
  5. Absolutely, just thinking myself that if he was really suffering badly with longer term Covid issues he wouldn’t be at Huddersfield. As you say, he could just be struggling to be football fit.
  6. I’d just like honesty and transparency behind the decision...and clear rules for going into / coming out of lockdown. What you get is lies and vested interests in the decision making, total misaligned strategies, e.g. stop infection vs financial compensation packages, e.g. CJRS, BBLS etc....and they plump for some half arsed solution that solves nothing.
  7. You trying to apply logic again Harry!! They keep opening up and locking down things in the wrong order. It’s almost like they couldn’t give a sh1t.
  8. Bristol Flyers lost their opening two games 20-0 for having to forfeit. Sounds harsh, but it impresses on players / staff that they need stay safe and follow the protocols.
  9. I reckon it was Rod Hull’s Emu.....?
  10. In fairness, Wednesday and Derby’s structures are too complicated for me to get a handle of their positions, but both appear to be taking the pi$$.
  11. Condensed version....thinking of you BigTone. Stay strong mate.
  12. I don’t know Chris at all. Played against his dad though.
  13. Feel free to move to dustbin thread.
  14. Semenyo needs to improve his shot selection. There’s a lot to like in his game, but your teammates will get pissed off if to keep shooting wildly, especially when there are good options on.
  15. Posted similar on twitter (more concise though). The cynic in me says put the news out on Friday, so there is less time to deal with questions before they close the lines on Friday evening.
