  1. Yep, same here in Financial Services, Limited or Umbrella. As Director (80/20 with Mrs F) I don't have an employment contract, so think we will fall down the gap of any support, other than the Business Loan...which we don't want / need, but there will be plenty of others that do. As for Umbrella, you sign an Employment Contract but if you can't work I can't see Umbrella covering you. I'm pretty sure Client will reject any invoices you raise through Umbrella, because you can only invoice for days worked (in theory). As for me, contract finishes 2nd April....main reason being IR35 decisions (notwithstanding the 1 year delay...which came too late), and I'm now isolating for 12 weeks because of Joe so can't go out looking for a new contract / other work. I'm not moaning, because I'm ok with money in the business to draw on....but I know of others in my situation who will be stuffed.
  2. In some ways yes it is. But we made a decision based on the simplicity of we’d rather give our money to a different business, and ensure their employees benefit from our custom. Not ideal, I know, but sometimes you have to stick to your principles. At the recent HMHB gig, my bruv automatically suggested a few of us met up in the Commercial Rooms, but I said I wouldn’t, and we therefore started in another pub.
  3. Following brexit me and Mrs F refuse to go to Spoons.....I hope a lot more people do the same now.
  4. Gonna be interesting how this one plays out in detail. Thanks for sharing.
  5. Got to be some form of announcement tomorrow....surely.
  6. Oi!!! How dare you post travel info instead of @Never to the dark side ???
  7. No it’s not “lockdown”, but it is the most clear he’s been.
  8. This is most worrying Coronavirus video I’ve seen. Not for the faint hearted!
  9. Had it too. We know Joe is “vulnerable”, so have been under self-imposed isolation since last Monday. But we were a bit surprised to get the text, re-inforcing we did the right thing. My cousin dropped off some bread and milk today, we are Ok for rest of stuff luckily. and next door’s cat helped with the fruit and veg box delivery:
  10. @Fordy62 photos or it didn’t happen!! And we can spot a photoshopped Aunty Bessie’s a mile off ???
  11. He is a nasty, nasty person, in a very dangerous position, pulling the strings of a bumbling fool. He doesn’t give a flying f&€k either. At the moment Boris is being saved by the eloquent Sunak...who imho has done nothing more than I’d expect - seeing as we are in unprecedented times. This most definitely isn’t a time for political point scoring, I’m not convinced by Corbyn either....but you can only judge the government of today, and I think Boris might have realised just what the job of PM is all about, and he will be Cummings’ fall-guy.
  12. It certainly is.... .....when you’ve been given foresight by what had already happened in other countries. But in fairness to Chris Whitty on 12th Mch when he said he was worried that if they moved to soon to drastic measures people would get bored when it really mattered. Well those selfish idiots aren’t even getting bored, they can’t be arsed full stop. What an embarrassing bunch on W Anchors we have in this country. I’m quite ashamed.
  13. Irrespective of the different spaced scale and what happens next, looking at our 233....that’s second to Spain alone. We shouldn’t be proud of that. Without getting political, our Government have done some good things, but if we were benefiting from learning from other countries ahead of us, we should be doing better imho. Maybe we are about to try shit-scaring the country back into their homes. If we are, we need to be tougher, because too many are ignoring the “advice”.
  14. Thought my pic was scary enough. Boris needs to get back on the lectern tomorrow.
  15. I suspect there are many of us on here who wouldn’t mind knowing whether the illness we had over Xmas / New Year was Coronavirus, so we can keep our family, friends and work colleagues safe. I know that isn’t possible at the mo’, but testing should be high up the priority list.
  16. I agree to an extent, but wish we’d started a week earlier. Interesting how some people on social media were all: ”eff Coronavirus, I’m still going to Cheltenham, it’s all hysterical media exaggeration” last week, and now they’ve been impacted by Coronavirus, either the illness itself, or school closures etc etc are now: “stay indoors, don’t be selfish efftards” Argghhhh. .
  17. That is the concern...still too blasé (selfish) imho. Last night’s pub openings wasn’t a final opportunity for a mass get together, it was just to give those businesses a small window to react. I’m not gonna mention Tim Martin....arghhh (okay, I just did)!! I’m sat here with a vulnerable child and as a result we are self-isolating as a family....for 12 weeks. Why can’t (some) people see the seriousness of this? [are you RedDave in disguise?]
  18. I’m gonna have to get Spotify or Apple Music - assume they are on there. I know, 2 weeks ago. Crazy really. Stay well!
