  1. Ok, so Government approach is to allow spirts to continue. Very likely that EFL / PL going to defy government by taking their own stance. What does this tell the government? Their behavioural science is mis-guided?
  2. Accrington Stanley owner stated he’ll be offering refunds (I guess pro-rata) to any season ticket holders who don’t feel safe going. Then again, he is saying he’s putting his players and staff’s safety at heart first over any EFL decision. Their scenario is made more complicated by them playing Portsmouth today, who of course played Arsenal in FAC last week (Arteta).
  3. Not having a go, but we have been advised to do things differently already, e.g. wash hands, self isolate for 7 days if cough or high temp, etc. The problem arises when you follow that advice (good on you), go to football, and the guy you sit next to, thinks he knows better and has an “I’ll be alright jack” attitude.
  4. Maybe not that per se, but who knows....but certainly if we had a better funded nhs, there might be different options available to us. Interesting that the government seem to be relying a lot on behavioural science as opposed to relying on medical science to plan their strategy. I feel it is fine to be worried about our government’s strategy, when other countries are taking a very different approach. Feel free to disagree.
  5. I’m getting told off on twitter for mentioning anything cynical like that!!!
  6. Mine depends on Joe....and obviously what happens before Tuesday night.
  7. Can’t argue with any of this, and trying not to make it political either. I think the test will be how we continue to react to changing scenarios or pro-actively too in light of trends.
  8. I guess my point was that if the NHS wasn’t on its knees due to mahoosive underfunding, what other options might have been open to us? Call me a snowflake, but I don’t really like the message (paraphrased) that we are gonna have to accept losing some loved ones. Might that be reduced under different options available to us. To me the economics seems to be more important than the health. Happy to be wrong, just the way I feel. My contract finishes 2nd April, so I might be posting even more on here....sorry folks ?
  9. For me, the approach in the UK is primarily about lessening the impact on the NHS. If only it wasn’t so underfunded in the first place.
  10. You may be right, but what I was trying to say is the average fan (those not using VPN Airways) have only one way of watching an away game, and that’s by buying a ticket and going. If they have bought a ticket, give them a code to stream the game or offer refund. For the rest of us, we wouldn’t normally be allowed to watch an away game so to make up for lost matchday revenue, allow us to purchase a stream.
  11. Oooooh, you little tinker..... .....and Marley Watkins.
  12. I suspect there are many options to sorting this, from: a. Giving you bugger all compensation z. Giving you something / all back I’ve no idea what the T&Cs say for my season tickets.
  13. That’s the point I was making £x/23 is less than £x/19.
  14. Yes, that would make sense....clubs would make some money back on iFollow / Robinstv payments.
  15. Yep, read that too. Dunno whether that covers you to watch away games though.
  16. Interesting in our recent season card renewal, there was nothing about the notional “price per game” equivalent being caveated by something along the lines of “it will be more if we are in the Premier”.
  17. We could sell our ground to any Tom, Dick or Harry, surely? I don’t believe we have sold it, just transferred it into a different part of the company structure as @Mr Popodopolous states above.
  18. We report our Football stuff under Bristol City Holdings which encompass BCFC and Ashton Gate Ltd, so I assume (I’m no expert) should we sell our ground to Lansdown or Pula, the profit from that sale would come under AGLtd and therefore under the reporting of BCH for FFP purposes?
  19. Joe said he has seen that there are two teams on FIFA. One in red, one in blue. I’ll ask him later.
  20. Yes, I worked from home yesterday, and we are all (where possible) working at home today / tomorrow. Microsoft Teams being used for all meetings.
