  1. When you look at the table in October, it's amazing we've actually got a chance really. That win today has dragged Plymouth and Blackburn right back into it. Tricky last couple of games, impossible to predict what is going to happen.

Wonder if any of these will be broke in the summer. Will never know the true figures, fees from transfermrkt

    GK - Dan Bentley - approx 1.8mil

    RB - Ross McCorie - 2.5mil

    CB - Kalas - 7 mil

CB - Nathan Baker 3.8 mil

    LB - Jay Dasilva - 2.1 mil

    CM - Adam Nagy - 1.8 mil

    CM -  Han Noah - 4 mil

    AM - Tomlin - 3.5mil

    AM - Kasey Palmer - 4 mil

    ST - Nakhi Wells - 4 mil

    ST - Diedhiou - 5 mil

Interesting, that's certainly more than Wednesday's most expensive 11.

I think our highest is Jordan Rhodes who was around 8 million (although the actual figure is widely disputed) after that there's Adam Reach was around 5 and then you have to go all the way back to Paulo Di Canio who was 4.5. Not many beyond 3 million other than those. We've tended to waste money more on wages over the years than fees.

We could do you another favour on Saturday as well. You confident of getting a result Vs Stoke?

Yeah, didn't realise you've still got Huddersfield and Stoke to play, you're going to have a big say in this relegation battle.

Can't pretend I'm confident about the Stoke game but it's certainly a huge game for both sides.

Huddersfield v Birmingham in the penultimate game of the season, I feel pretty confident at least one of those two are going now.

  4. You did us a favour today, cheers.

Shame we didn't do ourselves any again, didn't go to Boro, but it sounded abysmal on the radio, worst performance of the season from what I can gather, and that's in a season where we've had a few tonkings. Feels like we're going down at the minute.

  5. You'll be fine, too many sides beneath you.

Been some surprising scores around the bottom recently but it won't last. It only takes 2 sides from the 10 beneath you (not counting Rotherham of course) to struggle, and that's pretty much a guarantee.

    I'll admit I haven't got a clue who's gonna go though.

Sheffield runs on recycled energy: the city uses a district energy system, which turns domestic waste into thermal energy, which is then used to produce electricity and hot water! It takes over 225,000 tons of garbage a year to produce 19 megawatts of electricity and 60 megawatts of thermal energy. The hot water produced by this system flows through 25 miles of underground pipes to points all around the city.

Not exactly football related but if they can why aren’t we?

A bit of an exaggeration. It's a small corner of the city this happens in and most people in Sheffield are totally unaware it happens there.

    Yep, news to me that!

Safe trip up for all those travelling in the morning.

In all honesty this is a game on our list of must wins if we're going to have a chance of staying up. Several times already this season we've looked dead and buried, even as recently as the disastrous 4-0 defeat to Huddersfield a couple of weeks ago, but then we get a decent win, results go our way and suddenly we all start believing again.

Personally I'm still not quite convinced as we've got to catch 2 sides above us, and almost all of them (QPR aside) are unexpectedly under performing this season, and I feel are probably more likely to put a string of results together than we are. Not even sure what to think about the managerial changes effecting it though, as the entire bottom 10 have changed manager this season.

Very difficult to predict both of us really, was really impressed you ended Southampton's run the other week, but you didn't do us any favours against QPR. Typical of a mid-table side I suppose.

Going to be an optimist for once and say 1-0 Wednesday.

Yeah, we rode our luck a bit but got there in the end mate. Did you go to Birmingham?

A bit like Stephen Merchant, except covered from head to toe in tats and with frilly pink shorts- and boots ffs.

Good to see Adam Smith in Dublin tonight after his recovery from cancer.

No thankfully, very rarely get to away games these days, really hard to get, even with the current team.

Glad to read that about Adam Smith, he gets loads of stick but I like him.

He's nothing like as good as he thinks he is either, the big lanky streak of piss.

    Hope you're good Owl!

All good thanks. Hope all is well at your end. Good result for you lot today.

Not watching tonight but I'm picturing Stephen Merchant in boxing gloves.

  9. Interesting appointment, like to see a young manager given a chance.

He was really impressive in Wednesday's first season in League One, I thought they deserved to go up automatically that year. Finished above us and Sunderland in a really competitive season.

All went wrong last season of course, but an MK Dons fan I knew predicted it before the season started with them losing their best players.

Similar age to Danny Rohl who we've just brought in and he's already got us playing much better, as some of you will (hopefully) have seen a bit of at the weekend.

Always tough to follow a popular manager though, so I can see why it's got a mixed reaction. I'm not over Darren Moore yet. 🥲

    Evening Owl, hope you're well.

Were you in BS3 today? Hope you enjoyed your visit other then the result if so!

Hi Stortz, no didn't go today.

Sounded like we played alright though, certainly not as bad as we've been for most of this season.

  11. I don't like Lampard, never have really despite him being an excellent player. Supposed to be an intelligent guy, but I've always thought there's a selfishness to him that makes him unlikeable.

Might be harsh, and former teammates and his managers might disagree, but he's never struck me as a leader.

  12. From a Wednesday perspective I'm keen to see if we've finally started to turn the corner (even though it's too late in my opinion) or if Rotherham are just as bad as we are. We were arguably the better side for most of the game at Watford in Rohl's first game, and were excellent in the first half at Plymouth, but got nothing from those two. Dominated Rotherham last weekend, but sadly it's been another rough week due to the wally who owns the club.

Tricky week or so for yourselves of course, so very difficult to make a confident prediction.

A couple of weeks ago it'd have looked a banker home win.

Going to sit on the fence a bit though and say 1-1.

  13. Sadly it's just the latest episode with this guy, but perhaps the most infuriating yet.

All these problems we've had the last few months since promotion - Moore leaving, extortionate ticket prices (our neighbours in the Premier League are considerably cheaper) new signings nowhere near the level required, a second rate coaching team being brought in who failed to win a single game, and now a failure to pay HMRC - are all down to one thing, he's ran out of money.

He's constantly blaming everyone (particularly the fans) other than himself, and will continue to do so as we spiral down the leagues, probably on a similar path to Reading, if not worse.

The thing we all want is for him to sell up, but he still seems to think he's entitled to all his money back, when it truth we're currently worth a fraction of what he's put in.

Surely that photo is Photoshopped? That image would not be that clear from that distance? Did the original video/photo have the same image but not so clearly defined?

They were sat pretty close to the Sunderland fans, but still, shows how good some phone cameras are now.
