Rubbish.
They've let us all down tonight.

Where is Bakinson?
He's been in and out of the squad, out of favour at the minute, we've got a lot of competition in midfield.

Yeah, certainly on tonight's performance.

Have they played you much since the 50s ?
We've only played13 times altogether, very rarely in the same division.

Had to tempt fate

They've not beaten us since the 50s I've just read.
I could have sworn they beat us in a cup 3-0 about 15 years ago.
Must have been you lot, no offence.

Get in!
Thought we were shiit for the most part, but I'll take that

the depressing bit would suit them down to the ground. ive not been for many years now, never got to race there but the track was good for hard hitting unlimited bangers with the post and wire fence,no one got out of that still mobile if they went in hard
Yeah enjoyed going to watch the cars with my dad when I was young, especially the Robin Reliants, was great watching them turn upside down all the time.
This was for the dogs though, we spent the entire night inside watching the races on small TVs, it was like a night at the bingo.

wouldnt surprise me if a few thousand have found the owlerton aswell
Went there for a mates birthday a couple of months ago, first time in years. Such a depressing place, felt like I was in an episode of Phoenix Nights.

Jack Hunt's form has fallen right off this season, he's not making the squad at the moment. It's a shame because he was excellent last season.

I’ll flick channels as I always do when two live games clash.
Fact is the gas are doing pretty well and I’d like to see both the Owls and the Gas back in the Championship. The Bristol derbies haven’t happened for several years and I for one would like to see them back. Local derbies are nerve wracking games for both sets of fans and that anxiety creates incredible tension that isn’t experienced against other opposition.
I've got a bad feeling about tonight, they're in decent form. We're under pressure not to let the top 2 get away from us as they both seem to win every game at the moment. We're currently on course for 92 points, but as it stands that wouldn't be enough.

If anyone has Sky Sports the gas are live from Hillsborough this evening. Me? I’ll be watching Liverpool in the Champion League
That’ll be a proper football match.
I'm gonna quote this next time you show up on Owlstalk.

You've set me off now @joe jordans teeth
It's also ridiculous that the champions often only fight twice a year. It's the only sport where it seems perfectly acceptable to basically be a part time athlete and not stay in shape all year round. They really shouldn't need 12 week camps. It should be a full time job as I remember Dominic Ingle saying when he was talking about Billy Joe Saunders straight after a fight.

UFC cage fighting or MMA call it what you want and the youth love it because the best fight the best which is true, sadly for us miserable old bastards boxing is Dieing
I get that, I just don't enjoy it as a spectacle, prefer the sweet science of boxing. I do hate how we keep missing out on big fights for silly reasons though. The advantage UFC have is that the champions don't get to decide who they fight, it's much more structured. I wish the various organisations in boxing had more power to decide who fights who, there's mandatorys but it clearly doesn't work well enough as a system.

Think we all know UFC is the sport where the best fighters fight the best fighters and has been for years, fury can **** about fighting bums all he wants but I’m into UFC now because they want to fight
I can't see UFC having a monopoly on cage fighting forever though, I can't say it's a sport I follow but the bigger it gets the more it'll face the same problems boxing has. Enjoy it while you can I suppose.

She really is. I underestimated her and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Incredible skill set- and even more importantly, heart.
Absolutely, tough too and looked like she was as capable of hurting Marshall as much as Marshall was her.
Agree about the 3 minute rounds, might have really changed things.

Shields is so good
-
Really enjoyed that, have it 100-92 Shields
Hope we don't see something ridiculous on the cards.
-
Shields seems to land something in the last 10 seconds of every round to really seal it
-
I'm really wanting to give Marshall rounds but I'm struggling to

Eddie had long gone, did you see him hinting towards shields doesn’t do testing and shot him down
No I missed that, but I did see a headline saying she doesn't like Hearn anymore so I assume that must have been why.

Closer round but still 3-0 to Shields so far
3-0 Marshall on all 4 judges cards (probably)

Shields looking more powerful than I expected

Can't even be bothered to listen to it on the radio. Biggest waste of everyone's time and money since Haye Harrison.
