5 promotions/relegations from all divisions down to and including the National League. Also scrapping the playoffs at the same time.

Disappointed but glad to be rid of Sunderland to be honest.

Absolutely appalling. Heard Sharp needed stitches. I think more needs to be done, than just banning the guy from games, otherwise it'll keep happening.
He'll be prosecuted and might even receive a prison sentence for that. The idiot who came on the pitch and slapped Kirkland got a few weeks inside.

What happened? I turned off after the Forest love-in on Sky.
Appalling

Resisted the urge to tempt fate and gloat at various points across those two legs.
Shocking penalties. I'll never understand why a professional goes down the middle, if they don't have the ability to at least hit it towards a corner from 12 yards they're in the wrong job.
Seems crazy Forest haven't been to Wembley since 1992, they must be one of the very last clubs to play at the 'New' Wembley.

It’s a weird division with a diverse mix of teams. About five or six former premier league clubs with really big fanbases and grounds… and then also about half a dozen clubs up from non league that can barely muster 3000 fans. There’s a big gap there, Ipswich finishing 11th on 70 points, then Fleetwood in 20th and surviving on 40!
Yeah it's a strange division and something that fans have been quibbling about on Owlstalk tonight, some people pointing out we got 85 points, and others saying the league is so bad beyond that top section it isn't anything to shout about. I've actually enjoyed seeing us win some games this season for a change
Got to be seriously challenging for automatic next season though.
Anyway this isn't a Wednesday thread so I'll stop moaning at this point.
Think I want Forest up in the Championship, tempted to say Luton but I think Forest would be a good addition back in the top flight.
Wycombe in League One.
Northampton in League Two after Scunthorpe stitched them up.

Some big and medium clubs in League One these days.
Derby, Ipswich, Sheffield Wednesday. Plus Bolton, Oxford and Portsmouth- Sunderland too subject to the playoff final. I remember a good chunk of these as Championship and above a decade or two ago. Perhaps less than 10 years back 4, maybe 5 of these were virtual ever present in the top 2 divisions.
Yep, longest ever period outside the top flight for us this, 21 years and counting. I'm a bit too young to have fully appreciated the brief period in the early 90s when we were a really good side. In 1991 we won the League Cup in what is now The Championship, went up that year and finished 3rd in the top flight. I caught the tail end of it when we still had some great players like Waddle and Hirst, but it's been mainly downhill ever since.

Love to see a mouthy American get beat, there's nothing finer.

Expect a WWE style entrance to the ring from the female Floyd Mayweather after the fight.

Been listening this fight, the end sounds insane

Just now, Rossi the Robin said:
Noise of the home crowd influences when punches are deemed to be landed, too blatant to be corrupt - that was a robbery
When it's as bad as that I struggle to believe it's incompetence, even someone who'd never seen a fight before could have seen Catterall won.

What is the cause of these things? Is it outright corruption or is it the silly old fashioned "he hasn't quite done enough to take the champs belts" mentality from the judges?
-
I can't believe it, I'm stunned. I gave him 3 rounds and even those were close. When you consider the knockdown as well it's ridiculous.

That's the biggest robbery I've ever seen

Thought this was a good interview by Khan in fairness, no excuses. Sounds like he knows he's done though.

And now for the main event....

So pleased for him, winning this fight was way more important to him than it was for Khan
