  1. Reminds me of that thread a few years back with that picture of some West Ham yoof posing in an alley with a range of rusty garden implements. Some of the photoshopping was amazing and hilarious - I was in tears reading it! It deserves to be the classics that one. @TomF?
  2. Jack Leslie is a legend to Plymouth fans. The club have stuff named after him at Home Park and a statue of him will be put up at the ground - it`s being made as we speak. All the money for it was raised by a crowdfunding appeal.
  3. Also, we need a law to stop people throwing pebbles in the sea. Anyone who does that is an enemy of the planet and should be locked up.
  4. Let`s go back to hunting whales - they`re huge, it`ll make a hell of a difference if we hooked them all out.
  5. Might be worth checking spam - a lot of stuff City send me goes in there. I`ve also got a code if anyone wants it.
  6. Great bit of rail news down here today. The Okehampton - Exeter service has been reinstated and initially from November there will be trains at two hour intervals seven days a week increasing to hourly from next year. I will now be able to get a train from six miles from my house to Parson Street and back if I want @Never to the dark side The beginning of the reinstatement of the inland route from Exeter to Plymouth hopefully.
  7. Local derbies are usually tight affairs - especially when the sides are so closely matched......................................
  8. Driving all the way from Taunton to Hartlepool on my own and losing 1-0 in the cup to a dubious penalty. A 6-0 Friday night stuffing in the rain at Tranmere.
  9. Similar to an away game at Gills. I just had a t-shirt and denim jacket on and we were on that big open end in a blizzard.
  10. Following on from the thread about best ever away games, what are your worst away days following City? for most of us of a certain age it will no doubt be May 2nd 1990 but what others? For me the second worst was Walsall in the playoffs.
  11. Will the administrators have to accept the `best` offer on the table or will they have, in effect, a `reserve` price for players. Take Lawrence for example - if the best offer was, say, 500k (extreme example I know) would they be bound to accept it or can they say no, you`re taking the piss?
  12. `Dad, do you know the piano`s on my foot?` One for the kids there.
  13. Really? I just thought it was some random s*g. The bloke`s a cock of the highest order.
  14. Anyone recall a trip to Aldershot in a howling gale when some wiring came loose in the away end and started hitting the pillars causing showers of sparks? We got moved to the side as all the steelwork in there was live! I think it might have been a FRT game. I also remember walking past The Cannon pub when a pool ball came through the (closed) window missing my head by inches.
  15. Because they`re Derby County you old silly! In an ideal world it would be like frivolous appeals against red cards and the penalty would be doubled.
  16. What did you go and say that for? I shan`t sleep a wink now for worrying.
  17. The cheating bastard Rachid Harkouk going down two yards outside the box like he`d been shot and Norman Glover giving a penalty will always stick in my mind from that game.
  18. Ryan Bowman: Shrewsbury Town striker in hospital after heart palpitations - BBC Sport Scary stuff! Let`s hope he makes a full recovery.
  19. They`ve always struggled for crowds due to losing fans to (mainly) West Ham. IIRC, like Tranmere, they used to play home games on a Friday night to try and attract fans - I know I`ve seen City there on a Friday a couple of times - and apart from one brief, one - season foray into the Championship about fifteen years ago have always been in the bottom two divisions I think. They went up as champions by beating us 1-0! The days of Stan Collymore and Freddy Eastwood are ancient history now. I do hope they survive but fear the worst.
  20. Looks like he`s got his arm on the defender`s back stopping him from jumping too. Disgraceful..........................
  21. Since they would be the most important club in it Wayne Rooney`s Derby County`s League 1?
  22. In other African football news Famara got one for Senegal in their 4-1 defeat of Namibia
  23. It was the sense of relief at the end having scored so early and Bradford battering us for what seemed like about three hours! That and Paul Jewell`s snotty comments about them having an easy run to the next round after drawing us - have that you arrogant *****!
  24. Did he used to write in our programme (I`ve not bought one for years)? Probably not as I`m sure we would have dissected his pronouncements on here.
  25. A shame if he does get the Spanish archer - would it be seen as kicking a man when he`s down by the fans? Is Wilbs there as well now? If Cotts does move on it could be the perfect job for him to step into and start his managerial career but I suspect he wouldn`t want to be seen as maybe disloyal to SC which is understandable.
