  1. Ayling out his hands. Freeman? Really? He was bang average for us at champ level and couldn’t beat a player. We brought in Pato, who is a much better player
  2. Again this is a total myth. soon after joining the club had to sell kodjia for 13m… and then during his time, we kept selling his best players… and he spent the money from the sales. He actually had a negative net spend
  3. If he was out of his depth… How did he take a woeful team ijn the relegation zone and move us up the table in his first season? And then establish us as top half side?
  4. No, sell ons are standard for us now. Lansdown said this years ago
  5. Alex Crook says he about to sign for bournemouth, but will be out for a few weeks with a knee injury... Nige wasnt lying
  6. Which one is true? he lied or he knew nothing?
  7. Stealing a living. Not sure how he's kept his job here for so long
  8. Who cares if he was - He's doing in the best interests of the club, if he did.
  9. I think we should be happy He was always going - we are getting around 25m - what we wanted. But more importantly - Pearson has time to use the money and bring in players.
  10. Fans shouldnt take what pearson says too literally. If he says we want x price - he's aways going to quote a higher price than we are willing to accept Basic rule of negotiation, when selling, start high. And Pearson saying we cant spend...... We have just sold a player for big money and clubs are going to know and ask for bigger money. Another negotiation tactic - saying we arent able to spend much - lower the hype. I fully expect we've got the deal we wanted and i fully expect us to sign 2 or 3 players for 1m-4m each.
  11. I usually watch away games on Robins TV (From India). Not available for tonight. Trying to pay for a match pass for audio - but its only giving me the option for Millwall saturday Grrrr any idea @JerrySLO?
  12. You also gotta consider, they were burned when they picked Ruiz - and they probably regret it. AJ isnt currently on the world title hunt and has wilder lined up - in this context, i think its acceptable.
  13. Acceptable late replacement, especially for a guy on the rebuild. Before getting knocked out by wilder - Helenius was in good form.
  14. Totally disagree. I did a post on here at the time. And our results suffered with Dele in the team. May have had an inital impact - but we werent the same with him in the team the next season onwards. He won a lot of headers, but it rarely ended up with us retaining possesion.
  15. Hartley didnt play for us that season - and Noble, as talented as he was - Wasnt the fittest. LJ wasnt as talented, but he was reliable and performed a job for the team - especially that season
  16. LJ, particularly the 07-08 season, did the simple things well and you only realised how important he was, once he got injured. You may under-rate him taking the ball off the back four and get play going - and so did i - but the results spoke for themselves.
  17. Yep. LJ was key to how we played that season - he would take the ball off the back four, especially jamie mccombe and start attacks and get us playing. When he got injured, we missed that link. And mccombe and the rest of the back four, constantly lumped the ball down field aimlessy.
  18. That’s bollocks. I work with someone who is in their 60’s and he’s my boss. He’s worked in an office his whole life - had an iPhone, for about 10 years. He’s always asking me for help with his phone or computer. Some people, just don’t get on with technology.
  19. of course! goes without saying that lots of older people will be just fine. but for many, who haven’t grown up with technology, it will be difficult. Many don’t have smartphones - but even those that do, they struggle with it. My mum isn’t a football fan, but if she had to do this, it would blow her mind. She has a smartphone, but has no idea what Apple Pay is
  20. No mention of restrictions!
  21. And this is why, making everyone use the new technology, is totally nonsensical. I’m all for this new technology. I’m using it for my own season ticket. However it’s obvious, for many older folk, plus a few others, the new technology, wouldn’t be workable. The club should have told us the intentions of bringing in digital season tickets prior to selling season tickets And physical cards should be available now and in the future at no extra charge.
  22. Now if they said this, before they sold season tickets, i may have not bothered with 3 kids season tickets. The club have handled this badly
