  1. No actually i do like him. But people get blinded by playing careers. Great player. Good character. Forget that though. Judge him, on his career as a manager/head coach. Because thats what he'll be coming to do. And there isnt anything to suggest he'll be a success. This is EXACTLY the type of appointment i dread and we need to avoid.
  2. Did he do well at Derby? Like i said previously on here. He took a team already finishing 6th in the league the season before. Added Mason Mount & Tomori on loan and acheived? nothing. They still lost in the play-offs. He coached chelsea because of his playing career... and failed. So what part of all that or his time at Everton, shows he has ability as a manager? good start at chelsea, thanks to an incredible academy and then......
  3. What about Frank Lampard's managerial career, remotely suggests he would improve us.
  4. Until we are relegated and we then get less money.
  5. No, I’m not saying they only did well because of mount. I’m saying despite having mount and other superior players for he division, he didn’t improve them AT ALL. They finished in the playoffs, just like the season before. They would most likely have been worse if they didn’t get the loan players like mount. Very unimpressive stint.
  6. The only thing Lampard has done as a manager is fail. Started well thanks to an incredible Chelsea academy. And that’s it As far as i can see Eustace got his only sacking whilst being 6th in the league and actually improved Birmingham in the short time as manager.
  7. But when has he improved a side? Take his name out of it. What’s impressive? Other than bringing youngsters through. What makes you think he will be a success? Im not expecting impossible. I want someone who has shown they can improve teams. I don’t mind if that’s a lower level.
  8. As i said before, they got to the play offs the season before. Players like mason mount and he couldn’t improve them
  9. And what about his career makes you think he can improve our team?
  10. No such thing as cheap. You employ a bad manager. It’s gonna cost you.
  11. I did say shortly after. Point is. He added players too good for the championship and got zero improvement from the side. I personally wouldn’t be blinded by his playing career. As a manager, he hasn’t impressed at all. Can you tell me what in his career makes you think he’s a good manager? Good start at Chelsea… and then?…..
  12. Want Nigel Pearson Want Roy Keane Probably be Gary Rowett
  13. Did he? Had an established championship team that finished in the play-offs the year previously. Loaned in Mason Mount & Tomori - champions league level players shortly after and ended up with the same result. Losing in the play-offs.
  14. Sacking Pearson and appointing Lampard would be totally ridiculous. I'd be fuming. I'd also expect us to tumble down the table.
  15. This. I feel it was working. Many young players have been given their chance by Pearson.

He's had 4 jobs in the championship. Done okay, but not got promoted. Nothing massively impressive. Whats the point of sacking a far better manager for him? I prefer this route. Why cant we find the next Eddie Howe?

I wouldnt mind a young talented upcoming manager. If its proven failures such as Rowett - i'll be pissed
  18. Nightmare appointment. I dont want to watch my team cheat and roll around for 90 minutes.
  19. Again, i'd go with nige. Look at what he built at Leicester. Lansdown has built us up well off the pitch. But on it...
  20. I believe he does. The way he speaks about the club. The good work he's done with the academy. I could be wrong, but its just a belief
  21. I do now! I do think Tins probably thinks he's doing the right thing. I dont doubt he has the interests of the club at heart. But as i said before - i trust Nigel Pearson far more, when it comes to judging a team and managing them!
  22. I Love tinman - And he has his qualities. He can certainly spot talent. But judging how a good a team is and the running of a team - he's proven to be not very good at that. He's a failed manager. I would trust Nigel Pearson far more than Tinman. Club making a massive mistake.

Seems like Lansdowns are clueless about football And the good decisions he's made have been out of luck.

If he said he expects us top half fair enough... With the next two games coming up - i expect us to be top half. But if they think we should be chasing promotion, they are deluded
