Mark Kelly is one of the more professional and personable people down there, so when even he is acting like a ******* baby, then you know things are going south.

Yep someone/something is putting pressure on

Where I do have some sympathy with the Lansdowns is Nige's health. A current as yet undiagnosed neurological condition that is basically making Nige immobile would have to be a consideration if you are thinking about giving him a longer contract.  It sounds quite concerning to me.

Football is a ruthless business and, where possible, you do need everyone firing at 100%.

Nige seems unbothered by it, which is a great mentality to have, but I think we have to accept it must be at least a point of consideration for the owners going forward.

I’m wondering if this is where the irritated bit is coming from, asking his bosses for some clarity or assurances despite his condition but not hearing anything back

  3. Is this the official state of the forum thread?

If so, I think it’d be a lot cleaner if we had single threads for each player past and present - after every match new individual threads for players are made, every time a past player moves or does anything of note a new thread is made, surely better to keep it to one thread per player

And for what it’s worth I disagree with having a separate forum because a select few say they only care about current players because they are so much more Bristol City than the rest of us

Which is why I said I imagine he’s looking to progress in two moves rather than one. I’d have preferred he stayed here another season, with the view to helping us gain promotion,  and then gain premier league exposure with us next season. He could have moved in January if we weren’t in the hunt.

There was no way we’d be in the mix this season, the league is twice as strong as last season and we’d not have significantly strengthened - he has to take the chance when it presented itself imo, you never know what’s going to happen next

Money isn’t everything, his long term future isn’t Bournemouth, he’s good enough to play at the a much higher level, a bit of patience and he could have moved to a better club imo, as it is I imagine he’s hoping to do it in two moves rather than one. He’s gone now so whilst I will hope for his sake he made the right move,  I’m more interested in our players now.

Money isn’t everything but unless he doesn’t play he’s in the shop window at a higher level

Bit of a childish retort, just because people don't care doesn't mean they don't read and reply to a thread

Out of interest do you follow all our ex players to the same level?

Personally as soon as they walk away from BS3 that is where my interest ends

I'd rather put my time and effort into backing those still pulling on the red of Bristol City

Sadly unless we get him to sign a new contract I would fully expect him to be gone in January, but he would be going North not South East - but that is for a discussion on a different thread

So what you’re in effect doing is coming into a thread you don’t care about to prove how Bristol City you are?

International Soccer on c64 was very playable.

Better than match day on spectrum imho.

Must’ve had every Footie Manager game both Spectrum and c64 at some point.  Kevin Toms Football Manager was of course the 🐐 even with 20-min load times.

The Double on c64 was good, although whoever did the City data had loads of names wrong.  You also had to predict the attendance to ensure you had enough policing, and would get fined if you didn’t allocate enough.

Getting a PC and getting Championship Manager was many wasted hours over the years!

    My first version.

Saw something the other week on twitter where they identified the person on the box, he was an actor.  Just assumed it was their dad or someone.

    It’s not wasted hours 😡

Overriding feeling after reading this is 'fobbed off', perhaps being there was different!?

I just hear "it's not us, it is Bristol Sport" - I bet feedback to BS will disappear down a black hole or you'll be strung along for months/until someone stops asking.

It’s either a fob off or we have well and truely lost part of our identity, the best stadium experiences are when they adjust what they cater to the supporters attending

  9. For me it’s not a question of whether Landsdown is loyal and interested or not - he sees Bristol Sport as his legacy and I don’t see him losing interest in any aspect of it until that legacy is realised.

The question for me is whether he can run a football club well, infrastructure aside he’s made mistake after mistake in a lot of the football decisions, specifically when it comes to managerial appointments or support for managers. Additionally I feel like he does have the football clubs best interests at heart but frankly I don’t think he has the fans best interests - I just can’t get over him saying it’s his club and putting his dumb son in charge.
