The only thing that could make me possibly understand is if SL is thinking that this years championship is the strongest it’s been in years and it’s not the time to go for it, if that’s not the case he can GTF

Terrible situation for NP to be put in by SL do we not have a highly paid fans liason guy somewhere in the bowels of Ashton Gate? would be 2 fingers up at the lot of them if I was NP and back home to his family, many fans fears confirmed; matter of time now tic, toc.
Don’t think the fan liaison is best suited to answer questions about this, it’s way above his pay grade

I don’t think we, NP or anyone expects us to to spend millions and millions but even if he was allowed just 10% of that fee I think It’d make everyone feel more comfortable - I really don’t get this stance

I genuinely don’t want him back. If we’re suddenly good enough now, why weren’t we 6 weeks ago.
Season has started and both him & HNM seem very far away from signing for clubs. Whether it’s being misled by someone, or their own hearts leading their heads, but both have really taken three steps back.
He’s well within his rights to look for a better deal for himself and his family, imagine working in a job and one day being asked to take a big pay cut to so the same job - of course you’re gonna look about

This is worse than Toney imo, he’s directly influencing this game - the betting was odd that day apparently, a player to only have 3 yellows all season odd on to be booked seems really off and then he did this….
How stupid, on the verge of joining Man City and making millions and millions down the drain so that he can make someone thousands

How the **** has England getting to the World Cup final been turned into such a negative thread?

Isn’t a reformed person the best role model? If you hold your hands up to something and use that experience to discourage others, that can be very powerful. As you say, everyone deserves a second chance.
Is he reformed though? No remorse, no acceptance of what he’s done - he’s got away with it, that’s not a role model I want for anyone

I wouldn’t. Everyone deserves a second chance but he wouldn’t get it as a footballer and role model if it was up to me.
Also I think to give a second chance I’d want to see some remorse. The fact that one of the charges was coercive control and he contacted her after the charges were made really shows me what I need about Greenwood.

I mean this is sick isn’t it. How can it even be considered bringing him back

Right decision imo - would have cost me a load of FPL points had they scored it

Why are you always trying to wind people up. Are you 12 years old? Pathetic.
Tbf the seat at the table stuff is cringe

Wouldn’t be surprised if there is interest from other clubs late in the window once they’ve secured their main targets

Clutching at straws if you’re attributing poor atmosphere as a way of judging the players performance

I get what Phantom’s saying, this is very much an echo chamber - you don’t get a massive diversity of views and opinions here

Nope.
As a OTIB supporter I think I’ve earned the right to make that call. It’s only £5 a season, and as you care about the etiquette here I’m sure you’d like to sign up. Unless you don’t fancy it…
No thanks, I’d do it if everyone didn’t flood the forum with multiple threads about the same thing

Didn’t fancy putting this into the massive match thread then?

The funniest thing about that article is that it’s weeks old and proven wrong by the bids we rejected

In what world are we talking about £5 million pounds like it’s loose change, disgusting isn’t it

Just had a little giggle at that, "You can't start a bidding war if only one other club is left bidding". there is ages left in the window and we don't have to sell. the arrogance of various clubs supporters is crazy.
On the other hand the arrogance of those suggesting we’ll be promoted with Alex Scott, in a much stronger championship this year is also crazy

All unrelated and none are forwards, as you know. Apparently we needed the money to stay within FFP, so we could hardly have spent it, as we won’t this time, and next when they flog Conway at the first opportunity.
Dad, we’ve spoken about this give it a rest

Hang on, previous posts suggested we should take less than we wanted from Bournemouth because no other bids had been recieved and that there was no other interest in Scott and that there wouldn't be a bidding war.
People were wrong? It happens, no big deal

Yep. Not sure what part of "His price is £25M" some don't understand.
I think a few people are starting to panic, because they're worried he'll start to lose value (contract length) or if he goes late in the window, we wont have time to add to the squad before 1st September.
I don't think the club will panic though. The price is set, pay it or don't darken our door.
Let’s be clear, it was £25m in January, then in March it was more than £25m - things change we could have reassessed and want 30m or even be happy with 18m - things change, I really don’t get why some of you are so fixated on a figure mentioned in passing months ago
