  1. Not bragging mate just find it weird that a Swindon fan continuously comes onto a City forum to put down Rovers attendances because they have a higher average than us? Has it happened so rarely lately that it’s actually something for him to brag about?
  2. Congrats on having a higher avg than us for only the second time since we’ve been back in the league? Where were your loyal when we were getting 9k in league 1 in 16/17 and 17/18 and you avgd 7k and 6.3k? https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bristol-rovers/besucherzahlenentwicklung/verein/2455 https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/swindon-town/besucherzahlenentwicklung/verein/352 Gas up, still Barton down for me.
  3. I’m sure I’ll get over it. Against weaker teams they’re brilliant to watch, but against the top teams like Liverpool they find it harder to break em down so knock it back to try again. Like you said, it’s their right to do that and when they’re on top form they do it well against anyone. Just sometimes it doesn’t go their way like on Saturday IMO and it can be tedious to watch.
  4. Haven’t been since JB was appointed so can’t comment ? Just not sure how City playing it forward just to retreat all the way back constantly can be considered entertaining. Both teams electrifying against others but seems boring whenever I watch them against each other, not that that’s often either.
  5. Boring game. Both semi-finals been absolutely awful IMO.
  6. Not a case of another win and the Swindon fan is back on OTIB posting about Rovers?
  7. If he wasn't doing that United would be in a much worse place. This FA Cup game is genuinely terrible.
  8. City look awful. Liverpool haven't been great but christ.
  9. Don’t really talk about Swindon much over on our forum?
  10. Haven’t gone to watch Rovers under JB and won’t watch again until he’s gone. With respect to the club they have said if he’s found guilty he’s gone. That said he should never have been appointed IMO and regardless of what he does I will never step foot at a live Rovers game until he’s gone.
  11. I’m a Rovers fan and I found it embarrassing. Regardless of that though the tweet had an intention and it has done what it was intended to do.
  12. It’s a stupid tweet, but it’s done what it was supposed to do and that was to get a reaction.
  13. Ahh, posts which claim there's something going on but post no actual substance in said post. Isn't the rumour that the Hills were at the Bartons on the night of the alleged event?
  14. Oh no I completely understand you lot are miles ahead of us and should you actually sort yourselves out on the pitch then the rivalry will actually die for good. I haven’t seen a League rivalry between the two so I can’t really comment but the JPT games between the clubs were the best games I’ve been too. Playing Swindon etc just isn’t the same. For me both sets of fans are similar, this season especially. From what I read on here most are happy with NP despite results. I don’t know the ins and outs but based on form I’d want him gone but it’s easy to say that looking at his record. But you lot seem happy to put up with it, again I have no idea why; you may be validated in your reasoning. With Rovers we go and draw to Sutton and people rave about it like we’ve just gone and got 3 points away to Southampton (now that was impressive!). The bar for both clubs is very low at the minute, Rovers fans just harp on more because we’ve strung a few wins together. But people rave because we are mid table in League 2 and it baffles me. That’s what Joey Barton has done to my football club. Successfully done what Paul Buckle couldn’t do and lowered standards.
  15. Felt I'd give my two pence, from a Rovers perspective. For the poster who said JB has done a amazing job on zero budget - he has one of the biggest budgets in the League, he was allowed to get rid of any of the backroom team and also bring in whoever he wanted. He has a healthy budget. As for the ones saying we'd beat you right now. Nonsense. The gap isn't closing. It was closing when we were promoted to L1 under DC and he had us going well until you took Matty off us. To say it's closing now when there's a chance we still don't go up, but you guys are in the Championship for at least another yet is just nonsense. Yes the form since new year has been great, we could pinch that third auto spot or we could finish 10th. There's still too many teams involved.
  16. But of those 7 to date only 3 have been in the League. Compared to 6 given against us in the League. You guys been awarded 1 and had 7 awarded against you.
  17. My thoughts are with you and your family.
  18. Almost as bad as the City fan who went to Wembley with Grimsby to see Rovers win a penalty shootout right in-front of him.
  19. Gonna be an interesing final 14 laps. Perez done incredibly well earlier to hold Lewis up. What's Bottas been doing?
  20. My old mans a United fan and he wont shut up about it!! United fans are the most annoying fan base out there. Think the world owes them everything
  21. But out of all the words to describe players having a mare that’s the one he chooses to use? It was always going to be controversial
  22. Come on lad, it doesn’t say “one of a kind”. “We’ve got 100 of these one off Rickie Lambert pieces” Meaning it’s a one time run of 100 pieces. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. It’s for charity. Give it a rest.
  23. Hindsight is wonderful. We’ve had a terrible season, Max Ehmer on paper was a good signing at this level but for some reason just didn’t work out. Could say exactly the same for a few others; Westbrooke, Oztumer, Nicholson. Garner seemed to take all our experience and and push them out the door. We went into the season with a very inexperienced strike force and Tisdale didn’t change that when he came in. The loss of JCH was always going to be huge but it’s as if we made zero effort to try to replace him. I’m not asking for another striker like him, but 2 or 3 who can chip in and maybe score 30 between them. McCormick on loan from Chelsea has been brilliant and it’s rumoured he’s off to Millwall next season, wish him all the best. I want to say had Jaakola been fit all season we’d have put up more of a fight. He’s a quality keeper at this level but even if he had we were so poor everywhere else I really don’t think it would have mattered. As for managers, IMO our best chance of staying up was under Garner and that speaks for itself. I’m actually disgusted with the way Barton has come in and handled pretty much everything. Wael has backed him publicly and I like Wael, you can see he wants to do right by the football club but it’s just not happening for him. Regardless we deserved what we got this season. The joys of supporting a club not in the top 6 is that this is football. We take the real bad times and still support our club. I know Rovers are shit. I’ve been paying to sit on the sofa all year watching us lose to pretty much everyone. I’ve hated pretty much every minute of it but come the new season I’ll either be there in person or watching on iFollow again. Anyway, enjoy the summer lads. We’re all England now aren’t we?
