Come on City, keep it tight.
Wingie on to keep things stretched in last 20?

Could I have a first half analysis from someone at the match please?

Cracking start, great to see.
1 goal to Wednesday though and the doom merchants will be out.
2 goals to Wednesday and it'll be the apocalypse.
Keep pressing City. Best form of defence is attack

It just shows how tight it still is. One goal here or there has a massive influence.
Its tense stuff, but I wish the doom merchants would jog on. Your incessant negativity is boring.
You're no more frustrated than the rest of us, but if your support cannot even amount to waiting 90 minutes then we're fine without you

I only saw the second half, so wont let anything I've read about the first half cloud my judgement.
But....we did look fairly clueless. I have no idea what our general tactics were but there were a lot of ineffective long balls and there was little or no link up between defence > midfield, midfield > forwards. The general disjointed, lethargic approach reminded me a lot of us towards the end of SC's reign.
I dont think Hull were anything special. I just don't think tbey really had to work that hard to move us around and create openings. They were efficienct and looked solid at the back but nothing spectacular. I guess they did what they needed to. Final goal was clearly handball. Poor decision.
i spent a the last 15 minutes or so purely watching their shape in attack and in defence. They go in numbers as a team, and I think that's the difference today. We looked like a bunch of individuals and there was so little option for anyone on the ball.
The positives: I thought Wilbs made a difference, and Freemans first few minutes helped inject some life, but he has to score. I thought it unlucky in real time, but the replay from behind the goal - he's got acres to aim at. Other than that we had no clear chances in 2nd half.
Onto Rotherham we go. We really need a full team lerformance on Tuesday. Can't help but feel Korey could be just the man to bring out the performance we need

Good afternoon from Treforest, where for once it isn't raining. Would take a point today, though I wouldn't rule out an upset.
Treforest! You're at uni there? Brings back good memories!
El scorchio here in Staple Hill. 15 degrees by all accounts.
I'll do my usual desperate struggle to find a stream to watch, then abandon all hope and frantically refresh sky sports instead.
I'd take a point today, but just have a feeling we'll nick it. 1-0.
Fulham v MK and Rotherham v Leeds important today. Mind the gap.

But it is for a coach / manager to establish the best position for a player and then coach them to improve. Could make the same comment about Pack whose performances have been excellent. Let's not forget no Smith and Pack has steeped up
Yeah I agree, but players will have their favoured positions and systems to suit their game. Reid is never a Korey type player, it's just not his game. SC was his own downfall - the players only did what they were told.
Packs inprovement has come since we have had a back 4. As a result he can play his more natural game which is midfield and not having to always be going backwards to cover.
Your point seems right re Joe Bryan. Seems LJ has looked at his game and slotted him in where he can make the most of his talents.
Good management, long may it continue

Penny for SC's thoughts. Clearly didn't rate Reid or think he was good enough for this level. Also the two loan signings have strengthened the starting 11
Messi isn't good enough at this level if he plays as a defensive midfielder

The LJ bashers very quiet this evening, wonder why that is
They're having a romantic night in with the Bobby Reid bashers.

Happy with that set of fixtures, either MK or Fulham will drop points or both.
Hull are having a dip in form too. Great time to play them

+6 on the GD could prove so important come the end. Fantastic result and so glad we kept going for them

Rotherham win. Fair play - you have to give Colin some credit for their turnaround recently.
MK miss last minute pen after an argument between players!

We looked great, Kodjia in particular. Some fantastic passes too.
Their free kick was a corker. Nothing to be ashamed of letting that one in
