Glad to see Tomlin not playing at RB like Tuesday.
I think it'll be a solid win today. Build on the good bits and confidence from Tuesday and continue our (only very recent) improvement.
I hope JB and SG can build their understanding and be less static and predictable. Hoping Cotterill will provide another attacking outlet. We relied on Tomlin to create everything Tuesday.
Taylor to come on with a point to prove in the last 20 with the game wrapped up, and notch a tap in for 3-0.

My only concern is do we play the new keeper with probably no time spent in training with the team. Do we have him on the bench and bring him in next week ?
Tough call. If he plays FF and he concedes more soft goals, potentially costing us the match then surely game over?
However, proverbial 6 pointer not the best time for a debutant GK?
I'm actually nervous about the lineup!

Add into that Brownhill, who was good going forward at least, seemingly marking the Ref and the rest us history. Shocking.
Im glad someone else noticed and brought this up.
I wasn't at the match so avoided 'highlights' as long as I could before curiosity beat me.
I must have re-watched their third goal 10 times and for the life of me I cannot fathom what Brownhill was attempting. He actively got out the way of the Cardiff player to open up the space to shoot via a cuddle with the ref. He'd have been more effective had he just layed down on the turf in front of him.

There's lots I can understand people criticising but I really don't get how anyone can accuse LJ of not changing tactics and personnel - he's doing it every week. To me the far more valid criticism would be that four months into the season it's not at all clear what our best line-up is...
I wasn't criticising LJ. I was questioning someone else's opinion that we ought to wait until we were in a relegation scrap before doing anything to address our lack of goals.
As for the rest of your post, totally agree. I think a settled side will go a long way towards the stability we need to turn these narrow defeats into points.

That's not what I said and we can't address the lack of goals until January anyway.
We can't get anyone else in until January no.
But surely tactics and team personnel can be changed before we're in the bottom 3?
Perhaps we could provide better support to Tammy? Learn to take a set piece. We could play 2 up front at home. Hell, we could even play our £2 million pound striker?
or wait for the relegation battle and then have a think

We're not in a relegation battle though, at least wait until we are in one.
Pahahaha - really?!
Wait until we are in a relegation battle before we address our lack of goals?! Classic.

Teams got wise to Tammy.
And we still have no plan b. Found out after 5 matches, with no change since.
In desperate need of a striker in January.

Stop the long balls up to Tammy who is being double marked by two brutes .
We got found out with this 5 matches ago. No coincidence that Tammy's goals aren't as regular as they were.

Brighton are looking a very good side, they are pressing us all over the pitch and it's forcing us to play longer balls. We aren't moving off the ball enough in centre midfield, and playing incredibly narrow on the right.
First post I've seen to credit Brighton with how poorly they're making us play. Their quality, tight setup and organisation that's forcing our hand.
Just the hallmarks of a better side. We knew it before kick off. Yes we want more fight and the goals were disappointing. But when did we last concede and it wasn't disappointing?
Sometimes you get beaten by a better team.

That nonsense with Knockaert's shirt is the most mawkish thing I've seen on a football pitch.
A touch harsh, given the sentiment.

How on earth did we ever let Heaton go!
He has Premiership quality. We got relegated.

We are 2 down, been giving the ball away to easily and dont really look like creating much. Is hard to see anything different at this stage.

I get it. But the game's not over.
Brighton are a very good side, which is why so many were predicting a defeat. So why when they score is it such a surprise?!
We know we're struggling first half and we know LJ has made some very shrewd changes this season.
Im no less disappointed at the manner of the goals, but there's plenty of time left

Ah yes, matchday thread. Game is obviously over after the first or second goal. Forgot that rule.

Would have taken a point when 1-0 down and facing a pen.
Shame to concede late on, but doesn't sound like we deserved the win. A fairly balanced match by all accounts.
Ive just seen their equaliser though. Looks all too easy.

Great to see Korey back and starting. Huge. Such an important player. I doubt there's a better CM pairing in the league than GO'N and Korey.
Good to see Engvall on the bench too. Would have liked to see 2 up top as I think Tammy has been worked out already. Engvall coming on will be a total unknown for us and them.
Need Freeman, Paterson and Tomlin to push on today.
Got a good feeling today. Let's go at them from the off. A full 90 minute performance.

Going today. Looking for a "reaction" performance today after two disappointing games. Suspect we might get it.
We also need to impress the newbies in today's crowd!
You going is going to do nothing positive for our performance. Please go in disguise, or speak with an accent. Just don't let it be known it's you, with your terrible curse over our results
-
I'd like to see us go right at them from the off. They've been reasonably awful all season, conceding for fun, so let's sow that seed of doubt early on and get them worried.
A big home crowd, Warnock and some new faces isn't ideal. Let's get in early and shut them up.
0-2 city.

Ayling assist there.... went on typical run from RB and got himself stranded on halfway to create space!
Really?! I literally just said this to @ChippenhamRed on text who is giving me very good live updates!

That's an excellent point. That'll help massively with confidence.
Sounds like FF had a really solid match from BBC review. Also said Derby time wasting in second half, hence 5 mins of ET
