  1. No if they were paid the same as the men then they would be paid more than the tournament generates. They are paid more than the men as a portion of revenue which is right to encourage growth of the game.
  2. I think that's what they mean. I think it's important to use plurality as to not offend the other personality's.
  3. Oh I see, the other facet of the dim witted individual in which you reside comes on calls people *****, happy clappers, ******* idiots etc. Then when people are rightly not amused by this you another facet that resides in the low IQ'd individual comes on an insults people with a different set of expletives. Interesting I'll have to refer this to my zero ***** given manual for further investigation.
  4. You amuse me, you only pop up when we get beat early in the season. As things get better you disappear like an evil troll in a fairytale. ?
  5. Objectively I could manage the England side, we might have some odd results against Andorra but... there is no reason why a women couldn't manage the mens England side, but as long as there is some evidence of them being able to manage mens football. Take Mark Sampson minus the scandals he's terrible mens football coach and good women's coach.
  6. I've had a word with SL, and he has assured me he won't be selling you the club or appointing you as CEO. He said you can do the analytics though he likes your spreadsheets.
  7. Here is a phrase I heard the other day, "it's the first time since 1966 an England team has been in a world cup final" that and phrases like it belittle the mens game and women's game in equal measures. The womens achievements stand on their own, and the constant men vs women bullshit is nauseous. We don't do it in athletics, cricket, rugby or boxing for that matter.
  8. I think I have if you read my posts. There are some decisions she made early on in this tournament re Daly that would have been almost certainly punished in the mens game. She's done well as head women's coach, there is no need to tarnish that with needless comparisons. If you look at Sampson minus the scandal he did very well with England and Bristol Academy before that arguably with a less talented pool, he tried his hand at mens football and he's been awful.
  9. But he did the same coaching badges... She would probably be a decent coach in men's football given time. I just dislike the notion that a great women's coach translates directly into a great mens coach.
  10. I think she got away rather lightly with some of the group games where England were not quite firing, Daly ended up covering central defence at times and left us looking very nervous late in the early games. Daly has looked more comfortable in the later games but she's played central striker for villa all season and in the early games was playing left wing/back and looked very rusty at times. Because coverage and support of the women's game is hit and miss I think she avoids that sort of criticism.
  11. There was a study of elite mens and womens football a while back. Champions league covered lots of interesting nuances of the women's game. I like the women's game in its own right, I just find it hard to enjoy at times when all the commentary around it makes.quite ignorant comparisons to the mens game.
  12. Let's march the ladies around a military obstacle course, Phil, was a disaster and a bit of a insult to the ladies, let's give them a manager who hasn't proved himself in either game. But he was a good defender in the mens game.
  13. There is no reason why a female coach can't be better than a man. But you would want your head coach to have at least some experience of coaching men. There are some interesting differences between the two games, for example the mens game and women's game distance covered in midfield is very similar a 10k & 11k however the men will run 30% of that at max intensity. The consequence of that is men have less time on the ball. Add to that strength and power and size and the game starts to look and play tactically very different.
  14. Can we cut the bullshit, no she probably couldn't. I don't want to take away from what she's done it's amazing but inferring that directly transfers to the mens game is nonsense. The women's game is very different to the mens game, can we just not appreciate the woman's game for what it is, bloody fun to watch without the constant direct comparisons to the mens game?
  15. I think the Saudis are cognisant of their image problem, Maybe Turkey, the Far East or South America are his only real footballing options.
  16. I think the nature of this case and the fact some evidence was put into the public domain means he will struggle to play football ever again.
  17. You just have to look at the way Mendy has played out, he's gone elsewhere because he knows it's easier. Greenwood is in a very different place he's not gone to court it might have been better for him has he done so. It's a very messy case because some of the evidence has been put into the public domain. He probably won't even be able to get a gig in Saudi without some sort of proper trial to clear things up. Dropped charges leave so much ambiguity that there will always be noise around this case.
  18. It really does depend on lots of things and what ifs. So many people have made assumptions about her taking a load of cash. Most people have seen some fairly damming footage on Instagram. But none of us have seen the complete picture, there are lots of what if's. What you can be assured of though is the public lens that's on this case and the court of public opinion is he will never play football in this country again, regardless of what United decide. As we've seen pressure group come out and hammer his ex girlfriend. And we've seen pressure groups come out and hammer him. Which makes any kind of pragmatism on Man Utd's part utterly irrelevant. Sponsors don't want to associated with perception let alone fact.
  19. Joke init, normal big team rub of the green bs
  20. I think the whole Pearson being a bit down is to be expected if you just lost your best player with 3 weeks to go, you would be gutted.
  21. Both can be true, he said that he had a knock and wasn't fit for last weekend, he's having a medical that certainly wouldn't fail him and he could always be fit now. Just shit luck that a bit that meets our price has come in for him.
  22. He's with us in September , January however who knows. If teams wanted him he'd be gone by now. If team move for him it will be because their season don't start the way they want.
