  1. It tickles me the way people try to mess around with history. Casual culture was certainly born out of football violence in the 80s maybe 70s but that was before my time. That being said plenty of people adopted it as a fashion, without being violent. However if you're a minibus load, of "casuals" rocking up in an empty car park and blurring out your face, chances are you're there for a little extra something.
  2. I always blur my face out in family photos.
  3. I am aware it's a top end brand. I'm also aware it's a uniform status, bit like that shit tracksuit brand in the 80's and 90's.
  4. Sorry can't stand football violence, they deserve all the mockery that goes their way. I wonder if Stone Island ever get pissed off with people mangling their brand with hoolies.
  5. Falindre Park and Ride. Far enough away from the police but still a Swansea postcode. Mind you that could be half of Swansea.
  6. It's getting tedious, watching people tare lumps out of each other. It changes nothing if someone thinks he should be allowed to carry on with his job and someone else thinks he should be strung up. If the Spanish media in the next few days decide to take up his story he won't last long there so it's fairly irrelevant. All the speculation by some is borderline weird.
  7. For the love of god can we bin this thread.
  8. I think when you play against good quality opposition you really need to cut your younger players some slack, unfortunately that's a fair chunk of the squad. It's of they don't bounce back between games we're in trouble.
  9. Cornick is different he's supposed to be a finished product. He's never been prolific but he should be creating more than he does.
  10. He's just adapting and yesterday was playing against some decent players at Norwich. https://theathletic.com/4655444/2023/08/04/efl-ones-to-watch-bristol-city-anis-mehmeti/
  11. A complete dispassionate variable that is a retrospective view of the expected goals per game. England (0.5) vs Spain (2.2) summed up really well the Spanish dominance and helps punters wade through crap commentary.
  12. Debois deserves a rematch on home turf. Regardless of if he's eventually lost he's certainly been robbed.
  13. There are two very different boxing styles Debois is about power, he's a sprinter per say, and Usyk is about avoiding that sprinter for 6-7 rounds until the power costs the fighter and then going for either points or knockout win. What's disappointing is the sprinter won, and having played his hand was gassed in the latter rounds. It's just poor officials bias to a particular style.
  14. If you don't think the heavyweight division is a shit show, you're in a very small minority. I literally agree with @Riaz very very little but this I do. Its so obviously not low and the ref should be taking into account were Usyk wears his shorts.
  15. Just another questionable feature of boxing.
  16. Indeed I can't be assed with the sport anymore it's just too bent, for years you had the nonsense of wielder essentially picking his opponents, then you had that crazy draw with Fury, then you have this nonsense. And much more in the middle. I'm still not sure what VADA is if it can appealed and won it must be wonky, you have to trust the sport is clean and fair. Boxing needs to change its structure and soon, it's treating punters like cash cows.
  17. Daniel is a decent boxer he's got a decent chance. The key thing is although Usyk is shorter they both have the exact same reach, Usyk is one of these freaks that have a much longer reach than they should. I think if it goes the distance 100% Usyk win, however Debois is decent and could break down Usyk early in the fight if Usyk isn't careful. He will have never been hit by someone like Debois
  18. I think we've raided a good young player from a club that realise they are about to do a derby. They're in real trouble I think.
  19. I keep saying this as do others, if the women's and men's world cups happened together then there would be a case for equal pay in terms of absolute pay. As it is the women get 20% of total tournament revenue and the men 7% if we paid the women as much as the men it would outstrip the money the tournament makes. It's a faux comparison as the world athletic championship happens at the same time under the same umbrella, as does tennis so unless you were really petty and wanted to break it down by viewing figures per game then it's easier to just have equal pay under the same umbrella. I really like women's football, but I am starting to get switched off with all the gender politics around it through. I critised the team selection for the Haiti game and was told to leave the women's game alone and don't be so sexist, sorry but that's part of being invested.
  20. Screw as in the fun synonym for sex Jesus man. I'm not a crazy guy who likes to nail his balls to a plank before embarking on jiggyjiggy.
