  1. It's not Manning's fault so I'll not blame him, however I'm still ******* livid with Jon and Brian. If it goes well I think it might buy them a little bit of good will back but Pearson was beyond poorly treated.
  2. Some of the under-8s league referees that my son plays in get abused. It's ridiculous as it's meant to be fun for the kids, and the rules for kids under 8 are grossly simplified for them. Some of the parents take it way too seriously; I think because we're in the catchment for the north London academies, they think little Billy will get picked up.
  3. Id have Rovers over Cardiff. I have some very good friends who make up the blue few. And I really miss proper banter, where as with Cardiff I think they are a surrogate for the gas given recent years.
  4. I don't care if we get promoted to the PL, all I care about is we play good quality football in a sustainable way. If we get there awesomeness if not my team is healthy. I really don't want to end up watching the team buckling under financial mistakes because it becomes an obsession. We had a whiff of it under Pearsons tenure, but it could have been a while lot worse.
  5. What? I'm not sure I find either pretty. Now that Theo Walcot if he went into management we could call him pretty assuming he doesn't age terribly.
  6. Now we're on page 100 can we be honest and admit that Pearson probably threatened to knock Jon's block off. Jon pissed his pants was gutted he was worried about an old guy on crutches and fired him. He's appointed Manning on the basis he thinks he can take him. It's far more plausible than were a top 6 side.
  7. Possibly but the amount of money that's being poured into it you would think the refs would be a little better.
  8. I mean more the women's game than the men's. The women's game this season has had that mental 28second time wasting yellow/red and the two decisions with Chelsea last night were awful.
  9. Oh man I'll miss the old Brentford ground, The Griffin I think it was had lovely food. I wonder what's become of those pubs since their move?
  10. The women's game is in danger of losing fans, there have been some utterly shocking decisions the Chelsea result last night is just one of a long line of nonsense. Earlier in the season Man City were the recipients of a stupid second yellow and red. Something needs to be done across both games tbh to raise the quality and consistency of refs.
  11. I suppose a twist on this would be what grounds will you never go to as they no longer exist or the clubs defunct that you wish you had? I'll never have gone to the Old Brighton & Hove ground for just chance, and I never went to the old Colchester ground before their new bowl. But I did go to the old Manor Ground, the Vetch, Bury etc, there are a few Yorkshire/East Midlands clubs where I've only ever been to the new grounds. Only ever been to the Majaski for Reading as well. I do like grounds where Boverille is still considered a valid halftime treat.
  12. I've been to a.load of grounds with city, but my rovers friend we take in random neutral games so I've been to a fair few grounds that way to. I tend to keep a list of the grounds I've not been to that I'd like to.
  13. I don't know most of his signings turned out to be decent under Johnson snr. There were only a few that were average and didn't work out and were moved on when we were promoted. He was just terrible as a manager, much better as a coach.
  14. GDPR what a lawyer's paradise and the ICO what a flacid waste of time.
  15. Still with us at 80 bless him loved the fact we had a little exchange program going for a while after he left.
  16. I thought he had a good game against Wednesday, very tricky at times making himself useful but he's 100% not a lone striker we're short, and he's been doing a job that's it. I think we will see a difference in Tommy when Wells is back they seem to bring the best out of each other.
  17. Not your ACL you doughnut, the women's game.in general has a problem with higher frequency of ACL tares and ruptures and the severity at a lower intensity is worse. Sports science needs to catch-up before in order for the women's game can hit it's.next notch, if that makes sense.
  18. I think the ACL problem will curtail the women's game, I was reading a paper on it the other week and essentially as women hit sexual maturity and their hips widen this puts extra pressure on their ACL that men simply will never experience, with less muscle mass leaves them in a bad place. I think sports science has some catching up to do. Because as the ladies get more intensity in their game the more ACL injuries we will see. I get that the coaching qualifications are the same but the application day to day is completely different.
  19. Some people don't understand the woman's game is very very different from the men's game. Besides she's doing a great job for the ladies, cya West Ham.
  20. Depending on fitness that's how I'd go I think, Naismith I like a lot more in midfield, and I fancy seeing what young Ephrem has to show at the start of the game.
  21. Will be available soon, maybe we should bide our time.
