  1. Sadly I think you're right. I'm very concerned about us bringing in loans that simply don't hit the ground running and displace academy products.
  2. With SOD at least there was some process, it just wasn't working quick enough and we were in danger of dropping again. He was slowly turning a bad disjointed squad around, with Manning he's simply made a decent squad bad.
  3. That poor women only nipped out for some backy and a sixpack now shes all over the forums.
  4. I honestly think it is a next-season problem (a win and a couple of draws, we will be fine), but that being said, mathematically, we could get relegated if his form gets markedly worse than it is (yes, it can), Manning's current form, if it rolls over into next season, puts us on about 52 points if it gets much worse puts us in the drop zone.
  5. I agree I think he does need a bigger backroom staff with more experience.
  6. It's but still funny "My wife's card on our joint account was stolen, but I've not reported it, as they are spending less than the wife did."
  7. Me too, I was livid and still am about Pearson's departure, but I was willing to give Manning the benefit of the doubt and compartmentalize the two issues. The benefit of the doubt has been shown, and at this point, he's going to have us in a relegation scrap next season, he doesn't appear to have the experience or flexibility to adapt well at this level, all his rhetoric about stepping up boils my piss! He needs to step up, either pull in a more experienced assistant or adapt to the squad he has.
  8. I think Manning motivates opponents better than our players. Two weeks ago, I had Ipswich planted right in the playoffs if they were lucky; there were comparisons between Manning & McKenna being cut from the same cloth. Now the bastards are on a run and second in the League, and McKenna will be using Mannings's "Why won't the players do what I tell them to do, sob!!" as motivation laughing his tits off at the constant iterations of "step up", "leaders on the pitch", "little moments of quality" and my personal favourite "taking responsibility" How would I motivate the players? I would stop talking, and say something like its not acceptable and stop. I'd let Tommy be Tommy and I'd stop over complicating it, wind it back a few games to what was going well.
  9. IF we don't sort our shit out there are enough games to leave us in the shit! Very improbable though.
  10. He has been but its not removing from the fact his lack of experience and lack of ideas is costing us dear. The raw Mebude thing vs our own raw Yeboah befuddles me are we paying a loan fee and wages for the kid, loans have to be able to hit the ground running if not, then you use your youth!
  11. I think Nasmith is a cracking player sadly he's quite fragile since he's come to us. His could alternate with James quite well, he provides excellent cover for the defence while his range of passing is also excellent I think it's by far his best position. Knight is quality and his linkup, play is amazing and better deployed in a deeper role. Then we can use the pace and creativity Infront of those two. I think ultimately that allows the likes of Conway to hassle the defenders sitting on the last man generally being a pain in the ass. Then I won't get pissed off with Manning wondering why when he's employing a low block so ******* often that he's wondering why we have issues in the final third.
  12. That amused me, I love that formation I bet we don't see it this season.
  13. It's irrelivent where we finish this season, we sacked the best manager we have had in a long time and replace him and his backroom staff with a gamble. I'm truly gutted about this season but I really worry about the players next season and the finish next season, his post match interviews are utterly uninspiring dross, if he says step up one more time I'm going to kick a puppy.
  14. He has indeed, he's slowly coaching Euel, Pearson and Flemming out of the team, and replacing it with possession based nonsense.
  15. Diedhiou, deserves a meh reception like his exit.
  16. This amused me, we'll be lucky to make 55 points at this rate. It does feel like he was with us much longer 21/22 and 22/23 seasons were his only full seasons.
  17. Yes, he is undoubtedly training at ~4:30, which is nice.
  18. I thought they were very coachable.....
  19. I think overtime we will see less of Pearsons influence on the team which I think is a bad thing because we've spent a long time pivoting the team in that direction. I think Manning in my opinion needs to grow as a manager at this level, he doesn't have all the answers yet. And then we will need pivot the team again to suit a different style of play.
  20. It's Mannings fault the boy wasn't upto the mark? Midweek world beater is ruined by the weekend he'll bounce back give the boy a break.
  21. My desire is for us to be in the mix for promotion my hope is a decent run of football would be nice with our forwards hitting some form.
