I’m in the same camp Major as I’m sure many of us are. In SOTC Manning said that he’d inherited a solid bunch of players. That’s very different from the shambles that Nige inherited. Like many fans I also find Manning difficult to warm to. Hopefully that’ll change as time progresses.

We all have different views on player’s strengths and weaknesses and I saw plenty of Pato to form a valid opinion on him. I can’t say the same about Twine tho - I certainly didn’t see enough of him to form a valid opinion but from the glimpses that I did see he certainly impressed me particularly with his vision and of course his set piece delivery. Two excellent free kicks one at Carrow Rd the last one against Rotherham.

Pato was too lightweight in my opinion. Good feet and could nick a goal here and there but he never seem to boss a match and going awol too often. I doubt any City fans cared much when he moved on.

Wow! That’s a blast from the past. Iirc Edmund resided in France and he explained the complexities and the tactics of the Tour de France on here. He really helped me appreciate just how incredible the the Tour is.

I was ‘reading between the lines’ Dave. I read it as the door was open but that’s it up to Andy King and that a guy with all his success and experience within the game would be a useful asset. He also said that King had been coaching the academy players whilst doing his badges and that he was very nervous about running the session. Obviously King isn’t quite ready in coaching terms yet but he has time on his hands and I’d be surprised if he doesn’t join Mannings team at some point.

I listened in but like lots of managers didn’t reveal anything of importance. I quite liked his the way he handled the question on Andy King by hinting that the door is open in his coaching team without actually saying it! Essentially he put the ball at Kings feet again without actually saying it!

Fascinating documentary on Syd’s life and involvement in the creation of Pink Floyd on Sky Arts. Well worth watching if you’ve ever been into Pink Floyd.

Definitely, especially when you’re retired and getting involved and playing for the bowls club. That takes up a lot of my time. Don’t why Kustard quit otib - she was great fun.

Burnley will be back in the Championship next season and I seriously doubt that they’ll let Twine go to a rival club in the same league.

I think that Tomarse became TomF, Edson simply vanished as did Redtop who was literally a redtop journalist. Orj was someone who could argue with himself in an empty room.

He and another poster who’s name I can’t remember used to produce a booklet called ‘Incider’ - that was a good read and very amusing.

He’d think that his City related comments are taken seriously tho………..

I completely agree Fordy. I’ve visited almost all of the Championship clubs message boards/forums and the only one that comes close to otib is Owlstalk. All the others are very mediocre at best.
