Have to say it feels like pointless business if it’s a loan with no option to buy.

Burnley will come down next season, so we’re getting him ready for them to p*ss the league again.

    Desperate.

Give me strength, not every loan is with an option, 20 odd games left makes us stronger bring it on

The outcome of this feels like a bit of a desperation deal from City.

    Welcome though Scott.

Not seeing that to be honest , hopefully option to buy but a step up on what we’ve got, why is it desperate ? I  think because as far as the majority of this FANS forum our season is over, we are 4 points if the playoffs ffs😤

    That's not correct.

He said several times he wasn't against loans, per se. But in his opinion they were the wrong option to take due to the state we found ourselves in at that time, ie based on both our financial position at the time and the type of squad we had at that time.

So anyone thinking he was against loans is just plain wrong, lazy and not listening to what he actually said. Probably because they were pushing an anti NP agenda.

Say what you want , he said on many occasions he was not in favour of loans , didn’t want them around the place as did not think they brought anything and hindered the group , not lazy , not pushing anti NP agenda, you constantly push pro Nige , anti Lansdown etc but don’t call you out all the time

Again, where is it stated (other than social media/papers) that it is a loan and where is it stated its 5m ?

As you say lots of forums , socials and rags like the Bristol Post , there is genuinely no chance we pay 5 million for this player or pay a million loan fee , half of this in both cases , for all the chat Burnley are in deep shit and will get players out at best option so can bring a few in , he also can play up front just midfield so decent option , only 24 , and in the MK season got 20 goals and 13 assists, not too shabby league one withstanding

Be a very good signing if the money is right. Not sure I like a loan with no option - very short term-ist. He’d be cup tied out of the FA Cup and I don’t see him firing us to the play-offs single-handedly so seems like big wages for no real success?

If we’ve talked Burnley down to a manageable fee and are buying him - much better.

Maybe not single handedly shoot us to the playoffs but an absolute belter at free kicks , not quite Ward Prowse but up there

Our season is going nowhere. Wouldn’t we be better investing in the summer than spending enormous loan fees now?

Burnley aren’t Liverpool etc so maybe more realistic but a loan is the ideal answer , and for all the gloom of yesterday we are 4 points outside the playoffs so at least potentially not yet going nowhere

Nixon reiterates on Twitter a point raised by some posters, next few days or not at all.

If the price is 5 million… it just isn’t worth it, right?

Where does 5 million come from, looked back they only paid 4 million a couple of years ago and frankly has done next to nothing for them and is now on loan at a championship club , not sure it will be anything like that

Millwall is always a tough game but also one a team that wants to challenge should be looking to win. Never guaranteed in this league though!! The interesting thing for me is given Mannings comments on tiredness the other night will he look to freshen things up and how does he do that with the limited bodies available?

I think James and Conway start maybe even Weimann or Bell but definitely limited options , Millwall as said have three clean sheets on the trot so not easy at all

Rooney is an absolute belter imo he sound so thick in his interviews and uninspiring he's living off his playing career I fully expect us to take all 3 points against then they have been terrible this season rooney looked and sounded a beaten man to me in his post man interview yesterday

I hope you are right, can’t make it this time but have been quite a few times in recent years and never seems to go well , wounded animal etc apart hope it is different on Friday 🤞

    Possession I'm seeing...

Moving the ball quicker, with fewer touches...I'm seeing.

Better angles and movement to receive...I'm seeing.

' Front foot, attacking, entertaining football'...I'm not.

    Results terrible.

Now 5 points off a relegation spot.

And 23 points away from an automatic promotion spot. Almost double points to what we have.

Needs to turn this round fast imo.

7 points actually off relegation spot and 7 points off the play offs ( our more realistic target we are told )

It feels like everyone’s losing at the moment, he was clearly onto something at Oxford. May well have had a League title on his CV come May. Poor bloke looks downbeat.

Definitely people losing it , not happy with the last few results but some of the crap posted on here about him is just laughable , it may take time , it may work in may not but most on here are taking their pro Nige , anti board rants out on this guy , get a grip ffs

get behind the team too many desperate for us to lose.

I’m afraid that may be the case for some , all defeats narrow could have been different , Norwich a mugging tbh , did I want Nige gone , no way but many are determined / want Manning to fail to prove the point, but I support this team , have done for too many years , and it ruins my day when we lose , as some stage we have to give this guy a chance instead of abusing him frankly at this stage for no reason , the toxic attitude on here is not healthy
