    What's your point?

League 1 managers all know nothing about football and all "bullshit" their way into jobs?

Any manager who has been fired from a job is automatically a bad manager and we should assume they don't know what they're talking about?

Exactly he should know his  place , telling all the experts on here about football, bullshitting bastard 😤

if he’s reading this forum he will be feeling the love

Why is it unfair? The chairman of this football club has come out in public and expects promotion. Whoever comes in has to achieve that this season, or the very least knocking on the door.

Going by the clubs logic.  Failure to do so should result in removal of position end of season.

The club have put their foot in it. Made their bed, now lie in it.

I know people are pissed off with the Lansdowns and what the boy said but just shit stirring

Jon Lansdown was quoted as promotion didn’t be? In that case, whoever comes in needs to get the club promoted this season. Below that is failure if that is the standard being set by the club.

They can’t move the goalposts to what suits them…but I’m sure they will.

Behave , I don’t like him either , certainly wanted Nige to stay , but whoever comes in will need some time but hopefully get us near this year, but to hang them out to dry because Lansdown says we have a top six squad is unfair

I thought it was dreadful today. It was an incredibly strange atmosphere in that everyone trudged off out the stadium at the end as if we’d lost.

I thought we were a bloody boring watch, and the atmosphere was just so, so flat.

There were occasions in the first half where we won the ball back high up the pitch, charging at goal, and it was met with… silence? Just bizarre.

Also, I know S82 are the only ones who ever start a song so fair play to them for that, but I really think the atmosphere might improve at least a tad if they sang some classic, easy to join in ones. Red flag… ei ei ei o… drink up thy zider. Even just ole ole Bristol City… Just me?

Really?  not saying it was anything great today but do not recognise what you describe , and certainly people were happy with the result afterwards .

Pretty fed up of always putting the fans down , been away at lot in recent times , bar Leeds the home atmosphere was pretty crap , City fans excellent , just the way it is these days it seems

Ok will do, after scanning through this thread I think I’m with the majority for once 😂👍🏾

The performance was as some have said ok , Knight , TGH , Tanner and others did well , not a big fan of O’Leary but two good saves , three points vital .

The problem with agreeing with the majority is god some of the people on here are the most most miserable  , moaning bunch on this planet , it’s been a crap week absolutely wanted Nige to stay , but it wasn’t dire or awful , it was average , for some everything is black or white, good or bad , nowhere in the middle .

Get back from the pub to see 175 posts after someone saying Frank is the man.

So go through all of them only to find Frank actually isn't the man.

    What a waste of time.

Should have known better and just gone to the last posting which I normally do.

Really not fussed now, it’s going to be an absolute shambles whoever or whatever happens, they make it up as they go along.

Various people including shags says it is happening , then one says not happening and it’s all off ?

To be honest will wait and see how unfolds before being sure either way

Not we won't, but we did attract someone who'd got a team promoted into the Premier League though, in fact we've appointed three managers who's achieved that ( Wilson Coppell Pearson ) - it didn't work out with the first 2 but the ambition was there, so why should we be excited about lower league managers and coaches with no achievements on their CV. Where's the ambition, what was the point of sacking Pearson?  Why not simply back him a bit more?  If the board were so determined to sack him then why aren't they looking to replace him with someone better?

Because as been said many times the reason for the sacking was not football but personal , which means anyone’s better than Pearson in there eyes

Really? They created several good chances first half and had they taken them it could have been a very different evening.

People should also note the bit at the bottom about potentially someone from the continent...

You said yesterday that you had the new guy down to 2 or 3 , would Manning and someone from the continent be amongst them ?

Wondering as had heard something similar , true or otherwise, yesterday

That account won’t be posting again so no need. Keep on the lookout for a new one tomorrow though 👀

The only obvious thought is if he is the plant and pushing Eustace it adds credence to the rumour?

Honestly in disbelief we get rid of Pearson for someone who’s had one full season as a manager finishing 17th.

I bloody hate this club sometimes.

Yes but we all know Nige’s dismissal has got f all to do with football , totally personal

If it’s Eustace write ups say organised and good football, we will see

If Mark Robins becomes available, SL won’t be able to contain himself. He’ll be in within an hour and given a warchest.

Then watch NP go to Coventry and beat us in the playoff final.

Honestly Nige now has the time to sort himself out , won’t be turning up anywhere in the near future, get himself fit is the priority

If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but I fully expect Frank Lampard to be our next manager. He missed out on the Rangers job, and wants a return to management. Michael Johnson has said he will work with him as a number 2 wherever Lampard ends up.

Don't care if people laugh at this, but a very good friend of mine, who played in League One and the Championship all his life, is good friends with Frank, and he has told me about 10 minutes ago, that Lampard wants the City job, and his people have made contact with the club.

Not laughing , can only take what you say at face value, depends if we have already lined up who we want as some believe on here

I’ve just heard all our our November games are live on Sky now so who knows 😂😂

Firstly I don’t believe they’ve sacked Nige without a manager lined up to be put in place immediately.  This feels different to the last two sackings.

Therefore this has been in plan for a while.  Sound out options, narrow down, line them up and wait to sack with some kind of “pre-contract” done to make sure nobody else poaches before you can sack the current incumbent.

Get Ipswich and Cardiff out of the way, then act.

I fully expect a new manager in situ before Saturday.

If it isn’t announced until later this week, it’s purely because they are trying to make it look like a really quick search this week.

    Announce…..X.

Rowett and Eustace only just sacked so not sure if has been a while they are on the list ?

Whoever it is has to get us promoted without having to spend any money. Mid table with a squad of 17 year olds obviously not good enough is it Jonny boy

After everything Nige has done and set up here , who will be the ‘Ranieri  ‘and come in and take all the credit
