I see the fruit market is 100% confirmed now as not happening and they are definitely staying put!
Begs the question of where the money is coming from to renovate the Mem? If you can't raise non match day revenue significantly then you are basically chucking your money away, even if it's on the cheap with temporary stands, so why would the owners do that? Which begs the next question of will they just sell up as there is no money to be made?
Just heard that , fixing up the mem instead , fruit market definitely now dead

I think that Wednesday night is the perfect chance to send a message to the owners and create a massive show of support for NP.
Lets have some great and simple chants and keep them going all through the game.
Some decent banners would be good too
Suggested to me earlier that even as a one off that the Han Noah Massengo song could be adapted to Big Nigel Pearson, not as mad as it sounds when you try it ( not sure how massive his hair is though)
Whatever anything that gives the message over is positive

Is it just Roger Hunt and Geoff Hurst that are still with us now?
RIP Mr Charlton, you will be sadly missed.
No Roger died a couple of years ago, just Sir Geoff now

Would of loved the if he was asked, so you expect Nigel to mount a promotion challenge on a fraction of the budget Lee j had , Lee couldn’t get us anywhere near so why do you think Nigel can do it
I think the fans need to be 100% behind Pearson vocally and make it as hard as possible for them to get their way , obviously a good season would help !
Lansdown does not like to be questioned and told he knows FA about football, loves a yes man as we know

This, iirc, is my 9th year as a season ticket holder and I’m already fed up of SL, can’t fathom how it feels for fans who have watched through this entire tenure.
I have certainly backed the cost cutting of the last few years , was absolutely needed after reckless Ashton and co , and as this season loomed the optimism was higher than in many years , Nige built a young aggressive pacy side and I am among others thought we had a real chance of giving it a proper go ( and may yet in spite of everything because of the characters we have ) , this was transferred into excellent season ticket sales
We accepted the sale of Alex Scott because it made us safe on ffp but also it would enable us to bring in the missing pieces through the spine , even more so with the injuries and illness we have had to cope with.
I am frankly disgusted at Lansdown’s stance , I cannot fathom it , Nige has done everything asked and got him out of the shit and now this , he’s got an agenda for sure , I have always supported him even when others have not but if he sees this as a way to get rid of tough man like Pearson then he’s a very small man in my opinion

Can we not speculate on what McCrorie has. It’s crass.
Agreed , the jovial nature of the speculation is incredible, if he is out for that long the guy is obviously not well

That maybe so, but we are no closer to getting in the top flight now than we have been in the last 40 years… people have the right to be frustrated with it.
Frustrated maybe , crap Saturday agreed, but 4 points from three games at the start of a season is not Armageddon

The article suggests we want to get in 5 players. Can’t see it but once again we were to be heading into the last few looking for a defender. I wonder whether Kalas will now come back to cover RB/CB
Reading the negative rantings on here I reckon eleven

Hi
Just a heads up. for the Preston game my ticket was in my wallet for days before the game. For tomorrow's game it was not there. I had to go into expired passes in my wallet and 'unhide' it.
Is this the same for everyone?
I can see even longer queues tomorrow is so
No reason why , just unhide it and it comes up , to be honest there weren’t really long queues at the Preston game

Why would we do that ? , gives them an advantage, and never seems to be reciprocated when we go there , just tell them no chance ( polite version )

Nigel person said in a pre-match press conference that Alex Scott was injured, then we find whilst the game was being played last night he is a Bournemouth having a medical,as stated by SSN , was he lying to the fans,
Bournemouth say he is out until October, perhaps you owe Nige an apology?

For the final time - no we have not, as I have said all summer!
Point taken but can’t see us taking ridiculous clauses as part of the deal like Bournemouth getting 12,000 for a home match

If the club have told Nige one thing then done another during the preparation for todays match then that just about sums up our top brass over the past few years.
Feel sorry for the bloke he’s always been that one bit of bad luck from having some great success here. What a rubbish week coupled with Tommy’s hammy. Still, I trust nige to only replace these players with players that deserve it rather than LJs transfer policy of old.
To be fair we don’t know what’s gone on , Will all be clearer in next day or two , Nige sounds pissed off but that does not mean either he’s been stitched up or we haven’t got what we want, everyone guessing at this stage
Same thing with signings just because he’s saying needs to see what can be done ( wages etc ) doesn’t mean much , maybe not earning a fortune but Scott’s wages gone now , let’s wait and see
